(Senior) Analytical Chemist, Analytical Development

Do you have an analytical chemistry background within small molecules, or do you have the ambition to develop these competences in a relative short timeframe? Then you might be our new Analytical Chemist/Senior Analytical Chemist.

 

Your new role

  • You will be involved in analytical development work such as method development, setting specifications, stability testing etc. of our new chemical entries and drug products.
  • You will participate in providing analytical support for process and pharmaceutical development and perform QC tasks related to release analysis for clinical trials.
  • Provide support for outsourcing activities when relevant, ensuring that all external collaborations are effectively managed and aligned with project goals.
  • You will also contribute to other tasks such as qualification of equipment, writing Standard Operating Procedures, working instructions, analytical procedures, documenting deviations as well as development and maintenance of other systems.

You will collaborate with highly skilled technicians working with a large range of different analytical techniques (UHPLC; HPLC, GC, KF etc.).

 

Your future team

Analytical Development (AD) is part of the Chemical & Pharmaceutical Development (C&PD) organization. C&PD is a division responsible for the CMC development and innovation within new drug candidates based on chemically synthesized molecules. 

You will get 24 colleagues (technicians and scientists) and your workplace will be located in Valby, Denmark. The position requires a limited amount of travelling.

 

What you bring to the team

Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:

 

  • MSc within chemistry, pharmaceutical science, engineering, or another relevant scientific background.
  • Scientific skills in analytical development within small molecules and general knowledge of organic chemistry.
  • Experience with UHPLC, HPLC, GC or other relevant analytical techniques.
  • Preferably, practical experience working under GMP or similar quality systems, and the ability to work in a structured way.
  • A motivated approach and a collaborative attitude, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Danish and English.
