AI Frontier & Solution Quality Lead

You could be our next AI Frontier & Solution Quality Lead, a strategic role at the center of Lundbeck’s AI transformation journey. As part of the Chief AI Office team, you will help shape one of Lundbeck's most important transformation journeys: building bionic capabilities where people, AI, data and technology come together to create better decisions, faster execution and measurable enterprise value.

If you thrive at the intersection of AI innovation, solution quality, enterprise transformation, and cross-functional collaboration, this is your opportunity to influence how frontier AI capabilities are translated into responsible, practical, and scalable business impact across Lundbeck.

Your new role

The AI Frontier & Solution Quality Lead helps ensure that Lundbeck's AI initiatives are technically credible, responsible, scalable and fit for enterprise deployment. The role assesses early-stage ideas, prototypes, solution concepts and vendor propositions for feasibility, quality, risk and path to value.

Working closely with business teams, AI Value & Transformation Leads, EDE/IT and external partners, the role bridges business needs, emerging AI capabilities and delivery realities, while EDE remains the owner of enterprise architecture and technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business and use-case requirements into credible AI-enabled solution hypotheses, including GenAI, agentic AI, workflow automation and other emerging capabilities
  • Partner with AI Value & Transformation Leads to pressure-test prioritized opportunities, shape practical solution options and clarify whether initiatives should proceed, pivot, scale or stop
  • Coordinate with EDE/IT on architecture, data flows, integration implications and delivery feasibility, with EDE remaining owner of enterprise architecture and technical delivery
  • Ensure responsible-by-design thinking, including data privacy, auditability, GxP considerations, evaluation methods and human oversight where relevant
  • Guide build vs. buy vs. borrow decisions in collaboration with business teams, EDE/IT and external partners
  • Support prototyping and ensure a clear path from early-stage idea to pilot, production-grade solution or stop decision
  • Identify and challenge technical and operational risks, including hallucinations, data leakage, weak evaluation approaches, poor workflow fit, scalability constraints and vendor overclaims
  • Track relevant frontier AI developments and translate them into practical implications for Lundbeck's AI transformation agenda
  • Act as a key interface between business teams, EDE/IT and external partners, helping translate technical complexity into clear enterprise choices

Expected Results

  • Higher quality AI initiatives with clear solution logic, evaluation approach, risk profile and path to scale
  • Scalable, reusable and quality-assured AI-enabled solutions that are aligned with business value and enterprise priorities
  • Strong alignment between AI initiatives, CAIO priorities and EDE/IT architecture ownership
  • Reusable solution patterns and quality criteria that improve speed, consistency and learning across Lundbeck's AI portfolio

What you bring to the team

  • Experience evaluating, shaping or scaling AI/GenAI-enabled products, prototypes or enterprise technology initiatives
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, data science, information systems, AI or another relevant technical field
  • Strong understanding of LLMs / Generative AI / Agentic AI, model evaluation, human-in-the-loop workflows and common AI failure modes
  • Experience working with security, privacy, compliance and responsible AI considerations in enterprise environments without making risk reduction the center of the role
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business choices for senior non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-structuring skills and the ability to move from ambiguity to clear solution options
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across business functions, EDE/IT, governance forums and external partners
  • Experience from pharma, biotech or another regulated industry is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with GxP, GDPR, clinical, medical or commercial systems is an advantage
  • Balances innovation, pragmatism and risk awareness

Your future team

The Chief AI Office team will be a small, high-caliber team with an enterprise mandate. The team will not be an IT build function or a traditional transformation office. It will act as an enterprise translation and transformation engine, connecting business priorities, workflow re-imagination, AI capabilities and value creation.

The team will consist of complementary roles across AI value and transformation, AI frontier and solution quality, and AI organisation transformation. Together, the team will help Lundbeck make better choices, redesign how work gets done, scale what works and build the bionic capabilities needed to strengthen the company's long-term competitiveness and impact for patients.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
