Lundbeck is looking for a specialist within small molecule LC-MS/MS Bioanalytical to join the Department of Bioanalysis.

 

The department currently consists of 17 employees and is situated in Valby, Denmark. The Department of Bioanalysis is responsible for the bioanalytical support to small molecule drug compounds as well as for large molecule drug compounds and cover the value chain from early development GLP studies to full development and post approval clinical trials.

The in-house bioanalytical facility support the small molecule drug compounds and operates in modern UPLC-MS/MS laboratories equipped with 8 Waters UPLC and 2D UPLC operated with Xevo TQ/TQS/TQSX MS/MS, Hamilton liquid handling robots, Biotage SPE robots, Watson LIMS etc.

The department is also responsible for outsourcing all types of assays related to large molecule development to Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and this is operated by a dedicated group of scientist within the department.

 

Your job
Your key responsibilities will be to take the position as small molecule bioanalytical LC-MS/MS specialist.

You will together with the department management be responsible for the IT and technology platform within the laboratories and set the standard for bioanalytical sciences. You will support and supervise the department scientist and lab technicians on special issues and trouble shooting.

You will be involved in project teams and be responsible for the bioanalytical support to the projects (method development, validation and study conduct) and represent the Department of Bioanalysis and/or the Non-Clinical Safety Research area.

In the project teams, you will work closely together with colleagues form other departments within the nonclinical-, clinical-, pharmacology-, regulatory-, and pharmaceutical areas at Lundbeck.

You will identify new technologies that can improve the department performance and compliances, and enable that we can deliver on future challenges. Implement and validate.

 

Qualifications

Our preferred candidate has a relevant educational background and +10 years experiences working with regulated bioanalysis in Pharmaceutical industry, Contract laboratories or has similar professional experiences.

  • You are a specialist in bioanalytical chemistry: LC-MS/MS, sample preparation and techniques related to LC-MS/MS based small molecule Bioanalysis – method development and trouble shooting.
  • From previous positions, you have proven experiences with drug development, pharmacokinetic (toxicokinetic) calculation, evaluation and interpretation of PK data, ADME, bioanalytical support to clinical Phase I-III.
  • You have solid experiences with data acquisition- and LIMS systems (preferable UNIFI, MassLynx and Watson LIMS), understand and have interest in laboratory IT infrastructure, technology and automation.
  • You are fluent in English and proactively communicate. You are a team player and you contribute to a positive social atmosphere and pleasant working environment
  • You are experienced with relevant quality systems and regulatory requirements to regulated Bioanalysis
