Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?

We offer the right candidate an exciting job opportunity to become our new Category Manager for Professional Services in Lundbeck. As Category Manager, you will work across a range of sourcing and contracting activities across our global organization. No two days are the same, yet some of the primary activities within the category include category strategy development and execution, project portfolio management, stakeholder management, and building and issuing RFXs.

 

Your future team

Corporate Procurement is a global function consisting of +40 ambitious and passionate colleagues located in Copenhagen, Krakow, and Chicago. Together we secure a professional and efficient source-to-pay process across the full Lundbeck value chain. We take outset in our strongly integrated Category Management processes and deliver value through our structured approach to strategy & planning, project execution as well as stakeholder- and supplier management. We ensure spend transparency, compliance, and efficient line of business support through state-of-the-art procurement systems, well-defined procedures, and most importantly strong cross-functional collaboration. We believe in ongoing development of people and teams. With a solid mix of experience, Lundbeck insights, and diverse competencies across the team, we develop each other just as we learn from external innovation and best-practices.

 

What you bring to the team

Our new Category Manager, Professional Services will join a newly established team of 5. Within this role, you will need to:

 

  • Proactively take responsibility – in close collaboration with your category team and our line of business.
  • Drive sourcing projects and processes across business units globally and ensure project purpose and deliverables are closely aligned with our business strategy.
  • Since the Professional Services category is global in nature and is important at all levels of our organization, your ability to influence and thrive in a diverse landscape is crucial.
  • Drive strategic decisions by developing the right category strategy for Professional Services, that accommodates the category’s complex nature and stakeholder landscape.
  • Participate in lifecycle management of the relevant contract portfolio and strategic vendor relations, ensuring continued commercial and legal governance and continued value generation.

 

How your colleagues would describe you

We are looking for the following qualifications in our future Category Manager:

 

  • A Master’s Degree from a University or Business School relevant to the position.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience with indirect procurement categories.
  • Well-founded project management skills demonstrated through a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing projects in a relevant role.
  • Strong business partnering skills, ability to influence, emphatic mind-set and a solid understanding of cultural differences and how these may impact your work.
  • Comprehensive analytical skills, attention to detail and a structured approach.
  • The ability to manage many projects and tasks simultaneously with a high level of energy to ensure progress and deliverables.
  • English fluency, verbally and written.
