Communication Specialist & Partner, Leadership Communication in Research & Development, at Lundbeck

We are hiring an internal communication specialist to act as communication partner to our Research and Development organization and drive internal communication on digital channels. If you are experienced in these areas and as a proven advisor, you may be the person we are looking for.

Clear, meaningful and efficient communication to our leaders and employees has high priority in Lundbeck as we implement our Expand and Invest to Grow-strategy. We are now looking for a new colleague to help us with this work as Communication Specialist & Partner, Leadership Communication in Research and Development (R&D).

The position consists of two important areas of responsibility. One is to support our Executive Vice President of R&D and his leadership team in leadership and change communication as Communication Partner, the other is to drive our internal corporate communication on digital channels.

As our R&D Communication Partner you must be able to enable managers to communicate clearly and credibly and understand the communication needs of employees from different parts of a global organization. You will ensure the strategic visibility of the Executive Vice President of R&D and facilitate timely and effective communication throughout the area and its approximately 850 employees working across the globe.

We are looking for a communication specialist with “digital clout” and experience with internal communication on channels like Sharepoint and Yammer. You know which content works best on each channel to maximize reach and impact of the communication. Your multi-channel work creates synergies and facilitates both management and peer-to-peer communication.

You have strong planning skills and experience from working out communication strategies and plans. This will also help you when coordinating the handling of communication related issues in R&D. Further you can prepare and execute large scale information meetings, including producing presentations to be given by leaders.

This is a new position within our Corporate Communication team counting four colleagues in total. You will report to Mads Kronborg, Senior Director, Head of Corporate Communication. The team is part of Corporate Communication & Public Affairs which employs 12 people in total. We work closely together with Corporate HR, Corporate IT and other functions. As a team we recognize hard work but we also put a lot of effort into creating an informal and fun workplace. We believe in individual responsibility and work with a high degree of self-planning.

Main responsibilities

  • Act as internal communication advisor to the Executive Vice President of R&D and the R&D leadership team.
  • Work out communication plans and strategies for communication throughout our R&D organization.
  • Train and enable the R&D leadership team to communicate to employees.
  • Plan and execute large scale information meetings.
  • Coordinate handling of communication issues.
  • Drive Lundbeck’s internal communication on digital channels (Sharepoint, Yammer, etc.).
  • Shape content to different audiences on different platforms, leveraging their unique attributes to maximize reach and impact of communication.

Required qualifications

  • You hold a degree in communication and have several years of experience from working with internal corporate communication, including change projects, in a global organization. It is an advantage if you have experience with communication in a R&Dorganization.
  • You have experience from working as an advisor and have the personal clout to get your advice across.
  • You are adept at producing high quality presentation materials (PowerPoint, etc.).
  • You have a good understanding of digital communication tools and channels.
  • You have the cultural understanding needed to work in a global Danish company and are fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • You are ambitious and proactive and set high standards for the quality of your work.
  • You have a strong personal drive, you start up and finish tasks and can act independently while also being a teamplayer.
