Your new role – why is this a great opportunity

As Director of QA External Manufacturing you will be an important contributor in designing and shaping the way we work with our portfolio of external manufacturers (CMO’s) The role is new, and you will have a significant impact on the way we work in the team as well as across the organization, to ensure that our products are manufactured on time and in the right quality.

 

Your team is responsible for all aspects related to management and oversight of external manufacturers, Including:

  • Quality agreements and audits of the CMO´s

  • Release of batches, review and approval of changes and deviations, 

  • Vendor evaluations and performance reporting 

  • Quality oversight of the external manufacturing 

 

This role therefore includes an exciting combination of handling the daily operations as well as setting direction and defining priorities to support the business unit and corporate strategy.


Your future team

The position is based in Valby HQ where you will report to the Senior Director of Quality Assurance Operations. You will be part of a leadership team of 4 skilled leaders and have 4 direct reports which together form a coherent and inspiring community. The Valby office is the primary workplace, but there are also opportunities to work from home. Some international travel is required, approximately 10-20 days per year.

What you bring to the team

You are professional, self-driven and experienced leader with the following skills and competencies:

  • Relevant education, such as Master´s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent with +5 years of relevant working experience in leading teams and working with CMO´s

  • Industry experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain and regulatory requirements 

  • Previous experience with setting direction for a team and the ability to engage the organization, set the agenda and deliver on the deliverables in a timely manner 

  • An effective communicator at all levels of the organization 

  • Experience in CMO handling including implementation of new CMO´s

  • Possess a positive can-do mindset, instils trust and is comfortable working in a busy environment with shifting priorities

  • The ability to proactively handle multiple tasks simultaneously together with a positive attitude towards work assignments, colleagues and stakeholders
