Your new role
As Head of Technical Asset Management, you will lead the organization responsible for maintaining and developing Lundbeck's technical assets and facilities, ensuring they continue to deliver safe, reliable and efficient operations. Your work will help protect the value of our assets while securing the utility and facility systems that enable research, development and commercial production.
You will work closely with colleagues from production and R&D to understand the needs and build strong partnerships that support the entire value chain. You will also work closely with our Engineering organization, where you will be an active partner in scoping technical projects and new facilities to ensure successful commissioning of construction projects.
You will take a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks to supply continuity driving continuous improvements in reliability, efficiency and operational excellence. By sharing knowledge and best practices across the organization, you will help strengthen our technical capabilities while leading and developing your own organization in line with Lundbeck's leadership principles and values.
As Director of Technical Asset Management, you will lead three teams of highly skilled professionals with a strong track record of successful maintenance planning, execution and technical support to Lundbeck’s organization.
Together with three managers and an assistant in your leadership team, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and performance of:
- Strategic Maintenance Planning
- Metrology
- Building Management System (BMS) ownership
- Operations Center (24/7 site surveillance)
- Technical Spare Parts Warehouse
- Internal Maintenance Technicians (blue- and white-collar employees)
The department consists of 50 employees and has responsibility for managing several outsourced maintenance and technical service contracts.
This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Technical Asset Management while contributing to Lundbeck's ambition of delivering reliable supply of life-changing treatments to patients worldwide.
You will report to the Vice President of Facilities & HSE and be part of the senior leadership team in the area. Your primary workplace is in Denmark with limited travel and an occasional need for virtual meetings outside office hours due to time zone differences between Lundbeck sites
Your future team
The department Technical Asset Management supports all facilities at Lundbeck’s headquarter in Valby, where we are responsible for the operation and maintenance of more than 130.000 m² of highly technical facilities, including GxP-regulated pharmaceutical production (solid bulk, liquid sterile and finished goods), raw material and finished goods warehouses including temperature mapping, R&D laborites and animal facilities and common and office areas.
These facilities rely on a broad range of critical utility systems, including HVAC, electricity, purified water, water for injection, clean steam, vacuum and cooling, all of which are essential to maintaining safe and reliable operations. Technical Asset Management is part of the Facilities & HSE area, which also includes Service & Security, Corp. Real Estate, Project Engineering and Health, Safety & Environmental.
The position is based in Valby, Denmark.
What you bring to the team
To succeed in this role, you bring a combination of strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking and solid technical expertise. You likely have:
- An M.Sc. in Engineering or similar relevant degree combined with +10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years from a management position
- Proven ability to think strategically, holistic, and Enterprise wide – meaning that you put the best solution for Lundbeck over the best solution for your own area.
- Experience collaborating with engineering area, to ensure that projects are designed cost-efficient.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear strategies, priorities and actionable plans
- Ability to establish trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at different levels
- A leadership style that inspires and motivates people with diverse backgrounds and experience
- A “can do” attitude with the flexibility to navigate changing and conflicting priorities, and the ability to easily adapt in terms of behavior and attitude in response to ambiguity and the needs of the situation.
- An ability to create team spirit by listening, consulting, and communicating openly and proactively

Annual base salary range: (910 000 - 1 251 800) DKK gross
At Lundbeck, we are committed to fair and transparent pay. Please note that the final base salary within the stated range will be based on relevant qualifications, skills, competencies, and level of proficiency as well as internal pay equity.
