Description

Data Science is a newly established department within the Biometrics Division and currently employs 7 highly-skilled data scientists and statisticians, including an Industrial Postdoc.

The primary responsibility of the Data Science department is to ensure that Lundbeck has access to the right data sources and that insights to support our Research and Development projects are being extracted from internal and external data sources. This includes analyses of biomarker data (fluid, imaging, EEG etc), data from health registries, patient data obtained via digital technology, disease progression patterns, patient segmentation, and text-mining.

Biometrics also includes the departments Digital Technologies & Data Management, Biostatistics & Statistical Programming and a Digital Agile Lab. In total, we are more than 60 people located in Copenhagen.

You will have the managerial responsibility for all employees in the department. You will ensure that your employees thrive, develop, and deliver value to our research and drug-development projects. You will be overall responsible for the scientific validity of methodologies applied and the continuous development of new methods.

We work in a regulated area and with patient data, and you must appreciate the restrictions this impose as well as the impact of analyses on major decisions in drug-development projects and budgets.

Your main stakeholders will be managers across the organization, and experts in the drug-development projects. You will be part of the global Biometrics Management team and take part in developing Biometrics to meet future needs.
