Global Brand Manager



The Global Strategic Marketing team is looking for a talented, engaging, and action-oriented Global Brand Manager to work in global alliance with our industry partner. With a strong growth and exciting challenges ahead as well as promising life-cycle management opportunities, this role impacts directly the future of one of Lundbeck’s most successful brands.


Your job and key responsibilities

You will be a trusted partner in the alliance with our industry partner translating key data and objectives into well-defined marketing strategies and insightful, objectively executed marketing activities.
You will be an expert in beliefs and behaviors driving prescription behavior for brands in schizophrenia and other indications. You will collaborate with colleagues in Global Medical Affairs, Analysis, Pricing and Market Access, Global Customer Interaction Management and the global project team to enable deep market and customer understanding that drives current and future growth.

The Global Brand Manager is responsible for developing and implementing key aspects of the global brand strategy and major alliance events as part of a highly motivated, performance driven global brand team.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Directly influence the formulation of customer, category and market insights through deep knowledge of the brand’s environment via market research, affiliate interaction, scientific data, competitive information and opinion leader interaction in order to influence the development of the buying process, leverage points, segmentation, vision and positioning
  • Directly influence the creation of compelling communication through development of aligned key messages, communication sequence and brand programs to implement the global brand strategy
  • Create, develop and implement strategic initiatives, concepts, promotional materials, digital projects including multichannel communication, congresses, activities and projects together with agencies, affiliates, internal stakeholders including compliance approval
  • Utilize market- and customer insights in a concise and meaningful way to drive strategic/business decisions both at HQ and affiliate level and to provide commercial input to R&D in the global project team
  • Ensure strong relationships with the alliance partner, affiliate brand managers, marketing directors and managing directors, motivate and empower affiliates to secure execution of the global brand strategy
  • Create fruitful collaborations with internal stakeholders, partners and agencies to ensure different perspectives to inform decisions
  • Effectively lead meetings, prioritize and organize own tasks and responsibilities, leads agencies and utilize internal systems and processes
  • Capable of evaluating global and local product business cases affiliate sales forecast and P&L, setting SMART objectives and defining meaningful KPI’s, utilizing available sources and digital monitoring to continuously track and adjust to ensure strategy optimization and achieving business objectives
  • Provide guiding support to less experienced team members. Actively provide feedback and coaching

Lundbeck is seeking candidates whose specific qualifications include:

  • Master of science/business (or equivalent) with 8+ years marketing/sales experience from the pharmaceutical industry at affiliate and HQ level
  • Experience within CNS is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in all aspects of marketing, incl. early stage development acquired through education and several years “on the job training”
  • Leadership skills with the ability to drive projects through effective collaboration with an alliance partner, cross functional team, affiliates and agencies
  • Strong team player with ability to find and accept compromises in an alliance set-up
  • Impactful oral and written communication skills with ability to persuade and influence others
  • Analytical with the ability to produce actionable strategic and innovative insights
  • Other relevant pharma experience a plus (e.g. market access, analytics, business development, pre-launch development, commercial operations) as well as international experience
  • Ability to accommodate up to 15% travel (mostly EU)
