Join Lundbeck as Lead Medical Specialist, Global Clinical Development – Global Clinical Lead, Migraine & Pain, and play a pivotal role in advancing our Neuro-speciality and Neuro-rare pipeline, including a potentially transformative therapy for migraine prevention. In this highly visible leadership position, you will provide scientific, strategic and clinical leadership for a global development program while contributing to key portfolio and governance decisions across Research & Development.
Your new role
As Global Clinical Lead for development program(s), you will be accountable for driving the global clinical development strategy from Phase III readiness through registration and lifecycle management activities.
You will serve as Global Clinical Lead, Clinical Focus Team (CFT) Lead, and member of the Global Program Team (GPT).
Key responsibilities include:
- leading the global clinical development strategy for your program;
- chairing and leading the Clinical Focus Team;
- representing Clinical Development on the GPT;
- providing medical and scientific leadership for Phase II, Phase III and post-registration studies;
- leading medical aspects of regulatory interactions and submissions;
- driving benefit-risk assessments;
- engaging key external experts; and ensuring all development activities are conducted to the highest scientific, ethical and regulatory standards.
Your future team
The Migraine & Pain, Therapeutic Area department is part of Global Clinical Development within Lundbeck Research & Development.
You will join a highly experienced team of physician-scientists and clinical development leaders dedicated to advancing innovative therapies for neurological disorders. As Global Clinical Lead, you will lead a multidisciplinary Clinical Focus Team while working closely with senior leaders across Research & Development.

The position is based in Valby, Copenhagen.
What you bring to the team
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree with specialist training and significant clinical experience, preferably in Neurology, Headache Disorders, Pain Medicine or a related field.
- PhD and/or substantial scientific research experience is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology clinical development, including significant experience in late-stage clinical development, Phase III trial design, execution, regulatory interactions and submissions.
- Demonstrated experience serving as Clinical Lead or equivalent leadership role for global clinical development programs.
- Experience in migraine, headache disorders, pain, or related neuro specialty/neuro-rare indications is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing integrated clinical development strategies for innovative therapies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior governance bodies in a matrix organization.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and scientific presentation skills, including engagement with health authorities, key opinion leaders and external experts.

Annual base salary range: 910 000 - 1 251 800 DKK gross
At Lundbeck, we are committed to fair and transparent pay. Please note that the final base salary within the stated range will be based on relevant qualifications, skills, competencies, and level of proficiency as well as internal pay equity.
