Director, Data, Insights & AI Solutions

For the commercially savvy and constantly curious leader looking for emerging opportunities to use data and AI to improve how the business works, this is a unique and high-visibility opportunity.

You will define and lead high-impact AI, data and insight initiatives at the intersection of commercial strategy & execution, customer engagement and enterprise transformation. Your role will be to turn data, insights and redesigned workflows into scalable solutions that strengthen decision-making, improve customer experiences, increase operational efficiency and create measurable business value across global strategy teams, affiliates and our customer-facing colleagues in the field.

Your new role

We are looking for a senior business owner who can translate commercial and customer engagement priorities into a clear roadmap of data, insights and AI capabilities. You will ideally bring experience from both strategic work with senior stakeholders and practical exposure to sales affiliates, medical and commercial teams or customer-facing execution. You understand the enterprise perspective, but also the downstream implications of what is built and deployed for end users at market and customer level.

Together with your own team and the wider Global Customer Experience (GCX) area, and in close collaboration with Commercial Excellence and Enterprise Digital Enablement (EDE), you will be central to building a more mature commercial data and AI ecosystem: from data quality and business definitions, through BI and insight products, to AI solutions and measurable value realisation through end-user adoption.

You will also work closely with the Enterprise AI Office, helping ensure that priorities, investments and solutions across Corporate, Portfolio and Product Strategy and Europe & International Operations are connected to business value, enterprise priorities and opportunities for reuse and scale.

These are some of the areas where we look for your expertise:

  • Set and govern the direction for Lundbeck’s commercial AI roadmap across Corporate, Portfolio and Product Strategy and Europe & International Operations, in close collaboration with leadership teams, the Enterprise AI Office and EDE.
  • Develop compelling business cases, investment proposals and value realisation models that connect AI initiatives to measurable business outcomes together with relevant functional teams in the business.
  • Lead the development of data and insight capabilities that enable AI-powered customer engagement across global teams and affiliates.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, adoption-ready and anchored in real operational workflows.
  • Act as a change leader by building confidence, capability and momentum around data and AI across commercial teams.
  • Ensure responsible and compliant use of data and AI in close collaboration with relevant digital, data, legal, compliance, medical and privacy stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI opportunities and translate relevant trends into concrete commercial applications for Lundbeck.

Your future team

You will lead a new team that is part of Global Customer Experience. GCX exists to develop the capabilities needed to deliver strong customer experiences while enabling the business to do so efficiently, consistently and with better insight. The team brings together different backgrounds and capabilities across customer engagement, digital, data, AI, insights and activation. We value curiosity, collaboration and the diversity of perspectives needed to solve complex business challenges. We share a passion for doing what is best for patients and for the business, and we work in a way that combines ambition, trust and a strong team spirit. A day in GCX is rarely boring.

The position is based in Valby, Copenhagen, Denmark.

What you bring to the team

We encourage you to reflect on how your potential can best be applied and developed in this role. We know that few candidates will tick every box, especially in an area where AI is still an emerging enterprise capability.

We imagine that you bring:

  • Significant experience from commercial strategy, customer engagement, data, analytics, digital transformation or AI-related roles, ideally within pharma, life sciences or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of how data, insights and AI can improve customer engagement, business decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Experience developing strategic roadmaps, business cases and value realisation models for digital, data or AI initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across global and local teams, balancing strategic direction with practical execution.
  • Strong change management skills, including the ability to drive adoption of new tools, workflows and capabilities across diverse teams.
  • Ability to work confidently with both senior leaders and operational teams in affiliates or markets.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong leadership experience from direct line management and matrix leadership.
