Global Distribution & 3PL Project Manager
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Global Distribution & 3PL Project Manager to play a key role in shaping the logistics infrastructure at Lundbeck. In this position, you will help build and maintain strong partnerships with freight forwarders and 3PL providers, lead global distribution improvement projects, and manage tenders to select the best partners. Your expertise will also support various teams across Lundbeck as we work to optimize our logistics and distribution setup worldwide.
Your new role
The position offers an exciting blend of partnership management and project management responsibilities. You will serve as Lundbeck's primary point of contact for external freight forwarders and 3PL providers, managing well-established distribution setups with a focus on delivery performance, compliance, cost optimization, and reducing complexity.
As the Global Distribution & 3PL Project Manager, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including freight forwarders, 3PL providers, sales affiliates, and headquarter functions such as procurement, finance, and logistics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining optimal distribution setups, including managing tenders for local and global distribution agreements.
- Developing and implementing distribution strategies for new product groups and opportunities.
- Leading projects to explore and capitalize on new distribution possibilities.
- Serving as a strategic partner for selected freight forwarders and 3PL providers by monitoring performance, resolving escalations, and fostering productive dialogue.
- Implementing advanced biologics cold chain distribution solutions, a critical area of expertise for Lundbeck.
- Overseeing the distribution budget process and contributing as a distribution track lead on global initiatives such as the Lundbeck Climate Project.

Your future team
You will work in the Process Support team with 6 colleagues who provide distribution, distribution compliance and SAP support to the organization. The Process Support team is a part of Distribution, Supply Chain at Lundbeck's headquarters.
The position is based in Valby, Denmark.
What you bring to the team
Job level will be dependent on your knowledge and experience within the area.
- You have a relevant Master's degree with a background in e.g., production, engineering, cand.merc. or supply chain.
- You have experience with distribution, such as setting category strategy, managing relations with and tendering for freight forwarders and 3PLs, leading projects for implementation of new distribution opportunities or similar.
- You have experience managing projects with a large number of stakeholders, preferably across geographical borders.
- You are analytical, have an eye for distribution optimizations and have a track record in using data to advance decisions.
- You have great stakeholder management skills and drive decisions across various stakeholder groups globally.
- You might already have experience with the pharmaceutical industry.
