Corporate Health, Safety & Environment in Lundbeck  

We, Corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) are responsible for the development of Lundbeck’s HSE strategy and the execution of related strategic projects, campaigns and training. Lundbeck’s ambition is to be among the leaders in the field of HSE. To ensure this, we work proactively with the line of business to integrate HSE considerations into projects, processes and systems throughout the value chain.

Amongst others Corporate HSE is heading Lundbeck’s circular economy and climate agenda where we recently have raised our ambition to have net zero emission in 2050. As a graduate we would like you to be a central part in this agenda and journey.


In Corporate HSE we are 10 highly skilled and dedicated employees who support the entire organization. Compliance and continuous improvements are a fundamental part of how we work with our advisory services, project activities, processes and HSE management system. Our working days are varying and challenging, and we strive for strong results while having an informal tone with a good sense of humor.

Corporate HSE is located in our headquarter in Valby and anchored in Product Development and Supply as a part of Supply Chain and Facility Management, an organization with 230 employees in Denmark, France and USA that manages the supply chain and supports the value chain. Furthermore, Corporate HSE reports to the global HSE Council that consist of executive management representatives and elected employees.


The position is located in Lundbeck’s headquarter in Valby and visits at our affiliates outside Denmark must be anticipated.


Your job and the journey

We invite you to explore the environmental context, structure and strategy at Lundbeck within Climate and Circular economy and offer you a possibility of taking Lundbeck further in our efforts to achieve Net Zero CO2 emissions.


You will be an essential part of our strategic cross organizational project groups related to Climate and Sustainability and will:

  • Get a deep understanding of Lundbeck’s Carbon footprint and be responsible for developing elements of the model
  • Get a thorough understanding of Lundbeck’s supplier categories and how they contribute to the Carbon footprint
  • Participate in the development of a new climate engagement model for selected suppliers, including developing a systematic approach for collecting climate data from our suppliers
  • Get familiar with Circular Economy, focusing on legislation for the Extended Producer Responsibilities and mapping consequences of the legislation
  • Get an insight to Lundbeck’s packaging materials and develop a model for gathering data from packaging suppliers


Lundbeck’s climate and circular economy journey is based on a strong cross organizational collaboration   with Group Sourcing, Compliance & Sustainability, Supply Chain and Communication. Besides residence in Corp. HSE we plan for you to spend 6 months in Group Sourcing and 3 months in an operational area. The rotation will bring you valuable insight in to our Carbon footprint, category planning process and how to integrate environmental requirements internally in our operations and externally at our suppliers – and through this be an essential part in pursuing a zero-emission future.


During the program you will also participate in a wide range of development activities on your own as well as with other graduates - everything designed to guide you through the program, making sure you are on track and able to unfold your potential.



  • Our preferred graduate has the following qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree and/or a Ph.d. in a relevant field with a maximum of one year post-academic work experience
  • Above average academic achievements and excellent English language skills.
  • Strong IT proficiency (Excel, incl. Pivot, Powerpoint, etc)
  • Have an interest for large data sets, and ability to transform findings into simple presentations
  • Have flair for project and process management
  • Able to conduct involving and effective dialogues with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Comfortable in facilitating meetings and workshops
  • Proactive and a self-starter seeking new ways to grow and be challenged through formal and informal development channels
  • You have ambitions and push yourself to achieve results
  • You are eager to learn, contribute and apply knowledge
  • You build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • You actively seek new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels
  • You adapt your approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
