Service & Distribution in Lundbeck

We invite you to be part of Process Support, a team of 6 members within the department, Service & Distribution with 93 employees. Our department is responsible for transport of app. 100 million packs to app. 90 countries around the world and services like cleaning, canteen, sport and security for headquarter in Valby. We work with Operational Excellence as the key driver for developing our processes and people. 


The position is located in Lundbeck’s headquarter in Valby with a rotation to an affiliate in Europe.


Your job and the journey

We are looking for a highly skilled and ambitious graduate who will be working with Lundbeck’s global distribution and through the Graduate Programme develop a model for review of Lundbeck’s distribution setups world-wide. You will be responsible for distribution tenders in Europe in cooperation with Sales Affiliates and Corporate Procurement, being the project manager for the distribution projects. You will take part in define user requirement specifications for transportation and warehousing, collect offers and negotiate with different 3rd party logistic providers, establish system integrations, draft contracts and develop partnerships with vendors. During your 2 years as graduate you will have rotations to Finance and Sales Affiliates and be responsible for distribution benefit realization of significant cost reductions. You can expect to be stationed 2-5 months in one of Lundbeck’s affiliates in Europe as well as rotation to Finance during your graduation journey.


Furthermore, you will be Key Account responsible for our European distribution center handled by a 3rd party logistic provider with responsibility for cost follow up, complaint trending, customer service, quarterly business review meetings and development of our partnership. 


The Graduate Program will give you a good understanding of how we work in the pharmaceutical industry and hands-on experiences with a broad range of supply chain challenges. You will be thoroughly introduced to the key processes across Service & Distribution. Reporting to Senior Director of Service & Distribution you will be working closely with the management group to implement significant improvements and develop a clear understanding of Operational Excellence culture.


During the Graduate Program you will participate in a wide range of development activities on your own as well as with other graduates - everything designed to guide you through the program, making sure you are on track and able to unfold your potential.



Our preferred graduate has the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree and/or a Ph.d. in a relevant field (IT, engineering, supply chain management, business or equivalent) with a maximum of one year post-academic work experience
  • Above average academic achievements and excellent English language skills. Spanish or French language skills will be a plus but areca not a requirement
  • You have ambitions and push yourself to achieve results, you are proactive and maintain a calm can-do attitude even in a fast-paced environment
  • You independently scope and progress initiatives with an analytic approach
  • You are eager to learn, contribute and apply knowledge
  • You build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • You actively seek new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels
  • You adapt your approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations      
  • You have a high flair for IT and consider yourself an Excel and PowerPoint expert
  • If you have experience from the pharmaceutical industry working in a GxP environment it an advantage
