Graduate Program for Pharmaceutical manufacturing support – Pharmaceutical Production

Pharmaceutical Production in Lundbeck

Located in Valby, Denmark and Valbonne, France, Pharmaceutical Production is an integral part of Lundbeck’s supply chain, responsible for manufacturing and packaging of Lundbeck products for markets across the globe. We also act as a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) offering services to external customers.

We work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and interact with many different departments across Lundbeck as well as with our external customers to ensure that our products are always available to our patients.


Pharmaceutical Production Support is part of Pharmaceutical Production and are responsible for providing support to pharmaceutical manufacturing globally. This support covers a broad variety of improvement tasks within commercial manufacturing as well as introduction of new products and processes.


This two-year graduate program is based in Pharmaceutical Production Support in Valby, with a 6-month’s assignment at Lundbeck’s Development Department in Valby and another 6-month´s assignment in the manufacturing facility in Valbonne, France.


Your job and the journey

Throughout the program you will work within Pharmaceutical Production Support reporting to the Senior Manager.

You will join a team of skilled supporters, responsible for support and process optimization of a product portfolio of oral solid dosage as well as aseptic/sterile formulations.


During the 2-year program you will get a broad perspective on Lundbeck’s organization with a focus on Manufacturing and Development, and you will be involved in different projects. In Development you will participate in formulation activities, learn the different phases in drug product development and transfer into commercial manufacturing.    


During the assignment in France you will be involved in activities to gain an understanding of the dynamics of working with external costumers. The assignment in France will also strengthen your cross-cultural competencies and collaboration skills.


In the graduate program you will participate in a wide range of development activities on your own as well as with other graduates - everything designed to guide you through the program, making sure you are on track and able to unfold your potential.


Overall, this program will give you a thorough understanding of the complete value chain from drug development to commercial production and life cycle management - a very strong platform for continuing your future career within Lundbeck.




Our preferred graduate has the following qualifications:

  • You have a master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field such as Pharmaceutical Science or Engineering, with a maximum of one-year post-academic work experience
  • Your academic achievements are above average, and you can structure complex issues and independently establish solutions
  • You have a strong interest in pharmaceutical formulation development and manufacturing
  • You adapt efficiently to different cultural environments, you have excellent English language skills and might even speak French
  • You are eager to learn, contribute, share and apply knowledge and more importantly you have the curiosity to continuously improve and expand your knowledge in different fields of expertise
  • You have ambitions and push yourself to take initiatives and achieve results
  • You build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
