Are you looking for the next step to kick-start your transition from being a PhD student - or in a medical internship - to becoming a young professional involved in research and development in an international pharmaceutical company with a strong focus on Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders? If you are passionate about the translational aspects from animal research into clinical studies and improved treatment for patients suffering from psychiatric diseases, then we have the Graduate Programme just for you.

As part of your two-year graduate journey at Lundbeck you will be exposed to various parts of the business and encounter many exciting challenges across the company. The learning curve will be steep and we expect a lot from you, but in return we offer a programme that will empower you to grow both on a professional and personal level.

Clinical Development at Lundbeck

Clinical Development is part of the Research and Development organisation and is responsible for the clinical development of new medicines, including biomarker strategies, designing and conducting clinical studies in healthy subjects and patients. The position is based at Lundbeck’s Headquarters in Valby, Copenhagen.

Your job and the journey

We are searching for a graduate who can contribute to Clinical Development activities in the daily work, while developing professional and personal skills and expertise for a career in the pharmaceutical industry, in drug development with focus on the translation and biological understanding of data from animals to healthy subjects and finally to patients. You will report into either Clinical Research Psychiatry or Clinical Pharmacology and work closely with both areas in collaboration with partners across the Research and Development organisation.

For you to learn as much as possible about drug development, the Graduate Programme includes periods of job rotations to other relevant areas in Lundbeck, including the non-clinical research organisation. During the programme, you will also participate in a wide range of development activities on your own as well as with other graduates across the entire value chain - everything designed to guide you through the programme, making sure you are on track and able to unfold your potential.

The position might include travel activities.

Our preferred graduate has the following qualifications:

  • Relevant Master’s degree (molecular biology, medicine, pharmacy, human biology)
  • PhD degree and/or medical internship completed
  • Basic science experience
  • Relevant publication record
  • Scientifically minded, curios and with an innovative mindset
  • Excellent academic achievements and English language skills
