Your new role

 

As a Health Economist, you will play a critical role in shaping Lundbeck’s strategic direction by evaluating the economic impact of our therapies. Your expertise will ensure that the value proposition of our products resonates with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and policymakers.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Economic modelling and analysis:

          - Create final cost-effectiveness models to demonstrate the economic value of our Neuro Rare assets.

          - Develop budget impact (BI) models during pre-launch to assess financial implications for healthcare systems.

  • Identify HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) data needs aligned with the Market Access & Pricing strategy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Global Evidence & Outcomes, Affiliates, and Medical Affairs, to ensure submission readiness.
  • Support patient access by leading the development of Global Value Dossiers (GVDs) and ensuring timely HTA (Health Technology Assessment) submissions.
  • Support market access with potential HTA scientific advice.
  • Prepare compelling health economic dossiers and other materials to effectively communicate the value of the neuro-rare portfolio products to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support development of health economics publications to share insights and findings supporting our value proposition with the broader scientific and healthcare community.
  • Stay updated on global health economic trends, policies, and methodologies to ensure alignment with best practices and emerging opportunities.
  • Support internal teams by delivering training sessions on health economics and mentoring colleagues on related topics.

Global Value & Patient Access is part of Corporate, Portfolio and Product Strategy, which is a key function to bridge R&D and Commercial Operations.  

 

You will join our team of 15 colleagues who take pride in our impact on patients, business, and high performing culture. We are enthusiastic about what we do, and we also make time to have fun together. We prioritize and have specific focus on people development.

 

You will report to the Senior Director and Head of Global Value & Patient Access, Neuro rare (2 roles) alternatively to the Senior Director and Head of Global Value & Patient Access Pipeline (1 role).

 

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

What you bring to the team

 

  • Advanced degree in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in health economic modelling and evidence generation within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in economic modelling software.
  • Exceptional communication skills to translate complex economic concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of global healthcare systems, reimbursement processes, and market access challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
