IFRS Specialist, Group Finance

Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?

You will become part of a technical center of excellence within accounting and compliance with IFRS. The team works in close collaboration with colleagues within the operating areas, Global Finance organization, HR and Investor Relations, as well as our Group auditors. Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Work as in-house specialist and business partner to address and be a sparring partner on complex accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Support Group Finance and operational areas in the analysis of complex transactions, new contracts and business combinations (M&As)
  • Stay up to date with accounting pronouncements and standards, ensuring proper assessment, implementation, change management and disclosure within financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and Group Accounting Policies in all financial reporting activities.
  • Assist with external audits and specific requests, providing requested information and addressing audit inquiries.
  • Maintain strong documentation, formalized methodologies and assumptions for internal control purposes and external auditor’s examination.
  • Enable strong risk awareness and provide support to implement efficient internal controls
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent accounting treatment across the organization
  • Support on the preparation of compliant, accurate and comprehensive financial statements and quarterly releases
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross functional teams to collect and analyze financial data on specific technical projects
  • Drive changes by continuously improving and optimizing processes
  • Provide training to Group Finance and other stakeholders

You will be one of our in-house professionals and be an active participant in delivering high quality internal and external financial reporting and help ensuring efficient ways of working.

 

You will join an international organization work across Lundbeck’s global reach. You will be part of our specialized Group Reporting team within Group Finance and work together with our professionals based in Denmark.

 

The team is responsible for informative and high-quality external reporting and for enabling the finance organization to comply with Lundbeck’s accounting policies and practices, as well as providing support to the Group Reporting and ESG. We are the center of excellence within accounting in compliance with IFRS, consolidation, and preparation of the Annual Report and Quarterly financial information.

 

 

What you bring to the team

We prefer to be ahead of IFRS compliance and set the standards for reporting and for that we need an experienced auditor/financial specialist to ensure value driven output. We expect someone who can navigate in a fast-paced environment and at the same time understand when in-depth investigation and interpretation is required. Our team partners with all parts of the organization including senior management, so we need a team member with good people and communication skills.

 

Our preferred candidate has the following professional and personal qualifications:

  • Background as a finance or accounting employee with at least six years of professional experience in accounting with a focus on financial reporting in an international audit firm or an international company listed on the stock exchange
  • Profound knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience as an Accounting Advisor (desirable)
  • Ability to extract relevant information from complex material
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and commitment to producing high quality reports
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and drive progress independently
  • Is a true team player sharing knowledge combined with strong communication, analytical skills, and capacity to solve problems
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Experience with SAP (desirable)
  • Experience with business intelligence solutions (desirable)
  • Experience with Danish GAAP is a plus
