Your new role

In the IT Project Manager role you will be driving IT project implementations, change management, vendor management, maturation of IT investment proposals and much more in an environment where every day is different.

Your contribution will be key in ensuring that our R&D processes are supported by Global IT systems that meets business and IT requirements as well as security and compliance standards.

Our projects differ in type, size, complexity, and duration. You might therefore be responsible for one or more projects and/or pre-projects at the same time.

The project deliverables and the responsibility of the Project Manager can include upgrades to existing applications, new infrastructure, implementation of new systems, integrations, process optimization, change management or a combination of it all.

You will work as an individual being responsible for your own projects but will also be part of a Project Management community where sparring, support and sharing of experiences is important and part of our culture.

Your main areas of responsibility:

  • Leading pre-projects and maturing proposals for IT investments to build strong IT Business cases
  • Leading and executing cross functional global IT projects of various sizes, complexity and duration
  • Stakeholder management internally as well as externally toward vendors
  • Proactively managing scope, timeline, quality, budget, risks, issues and actions
  • Applying agile elements into the projects where applicable
  • Ability to produce content for various purposes in various formats to audiences at different levels e.g., executives, Steering committees, teams, vendors, users etc.
  • Adapt to guidelines and procedures in a very regulated industry

 

Your future team

In Global IT, we have a strong team focusing on our R&D areas. You will be part of a Global IT team of IT Project Managers and Solution Architects, working closely with the R&D business unit.

You will be working with approximately 100 dedicated Global IT colleagues, and primarily be working from Lundbeck’s headquarter in Valby.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

What you bring to the team

You have a solid knowledge about the project management discipline and at least 3-4 years of experience as an IT Project Manager.

Preferred experiences and qualifications cover:

  • Experience with work in a multivendor set-up where vendor and contract management are a part of your daily work
  • Experience with RFI / RFP processes and with the preparation of business cases
  • Solid knowledge and experience with the IT Project Management toolbox
  • High personal drive and focus on delivering within scope, time, budget and in appropriate quality
  • Good soft skills to ensure confidence in managing and leading project teams, Steering committees and key stakeholders
  • Ability and experience with being a challenger, problem solver and negotiator
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with change management
  • Fluent in English. The job requires communication with international stakeholders

 

Additionally, the following experiences and qualifications will be considered as an advantage:

  • Experience in working with GxP
  • Project management certification(s)
  • Test and Validation management
  • Experience with working out contracts and SOW’s
  • Experience with agile ways of working
  • Technical IT skills at sufficient level
