Your new role
Junior Patent Counsel is the entry position on the patent counsel career path in Global Patents.
You will take part in developing patent strategies for R&D projects in collaboration with more senior patent counsels and your manager. You will be responsible for specific deliverables in various R&D projects and other activities such as in connection with general strategy development or in evaluation of external opportunities. You will start on a steep learning curve in understanding intellectual property and the pharmaceutical value chain, and your formal education in becoming Certified Danish Patent Agent and European Patent Attorney.
Your future team
Global Patents is part of Corporate Patents, and our office is in Copenhagen, Denmark. You will join our team of 16 colleagues who take pride in capturing, protecting, defending and enforcing Lundbeck’s Intellectual Property, and create the best basis for Lundbeck to continuously invest in novel therapies.

What you bring to the team
As our new Junior Patent Counsel, you hold a master or PhD in chemistry, biology, pharmacy or medicine or other relevant background in natural sciences.
In addition, you bring the following competencies to the team:
• Readily involves others as appropriate to accomplish individual and group goals, and contributes to a positive atmosphere and a friendly working environment
• Well versed in digital workplace tools and would like to work artificial intelligence and machine learning when it can accelerate our work
• Personal drive, solution oriented with the ability to prioritize, and
• A global mindset and good English skills.
