Laboratory Technician – Translational DMPK






The Department of Translational Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics is looking for an enthusiastic Laboratory Technician with a track record within the field of discovery ADME assays. The department is based at Lundbeck’s headquarters in Copenhagen where you will be working in a dynamic team with 14 scientists and technicians.

Your job and key responsibilities


·        Support discovery projects by planning, conduction, reviewing and reporting of a wide range of key ADME assays




·        Support discovery projects by performing quantitative analysis of small and large molecules in biological samples (in vivo and in vitro) using LC-MS/MS 




·        Develop sensitive LC-MS/MS bioanalytical methods to quantify drugs and metabolites in biological matrices and perform troubleshooting when relevant


  • Participate in the testing, development and implementation of new mass spectrometry and chromatography technologies, e.g. LC/MS based methods for biomarkers and digested proteins


·        Process and report data to discovery project teams in close collaboration with DMPK scientists




Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:


  • Education as laboratory technician or similar degree, with at least 5 years of working experience within DMPK or similar pharmaceutical field.


·        Solid hands-on experience within LC-MS method development and troubleshooting, and the application to quantitative analysis of biological matrices such as plasma, tissues and cell cultures.


·        Experience with automated liquid handling systems and its use in ADME testing.


·        Familiar with LC-MS software e.g. Analyst, MassLynx and/or Unify.
