About the team

As our new Platform Architect, you will join the Architecture and Platforms team within Digital Delivery. The Digital Delivery unit consist of four departments with a total of around 33 passionate employees currently growing in both employees and competences. The Architecture and Platforms team consists of 6 passionate architects and 3 developers. Together with the rest of the IT organization, we support Lundbeck’s full value chain – from early research, to development, production, sales, and supporting functions.

 

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Architect profile to take lead on architecture and design of digital solutions throughout our entire business. You will play a vital part in defining, identifying, implementing, and maintaining the tools and services needed to support our entire value chain. As our new Platform Architect, your primary role will be to:

  • Standardize platforms to match Lundbeck’s needs using best practices.
  • Focus on cross-platforms to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing within the Platforms Team.
  • Work with larger technologies that rely on Microsoft O365 Services, Cherwell ITSM, Veeva, SalesForce and Adobe.
  • Take the lead as architect on larger platform projects.
  • Support the team in the design and implementation of a highly available, scalable and secure modern workplace solutions using industry best practices.
  • Provide input to business cases comprising economical and technical arguments and recommendations.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the platform designs.
  • Participate in support of the solutions as a third-line specialist.
  • Deliver expertise within the fields of cloud- and platform technologies.
  • Manage technical and business stakeholder relationships.

 

You will refer to the Director of Architecture and Platforms.

The position is based at Lundbeck’s headquarters in Valby, Copenhagen.

Qualifications

We expect that our new Platform Architect holds minimum a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or IT and has previous work experience in Microsoft O365 Services, Cherwell ITSM, Veeva, SalesForce and/or Adobe. Further skills comprise:

  • A solid understanding of systems architecture, integration, governance and information management frameworks.
  • Experience in planning a technology environment which tailor to the business needs
  • Ability to work independently but also proactively with others for the purpose of cross-platform alignment and knowledge transfer as part of the Architecture and Platforms Team.
  • Hands-on technical and application experience of implementing large-scale complex core systems as an architect.
  • You have strong analytical skills and can take decisions, both individual and in close collaboration with colleagues.
  • You adapt your approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
  • You are skilled at communicating in English, both written and verbally.
