Your new role

 

  • As our new Principal Scientist and Modality Lead for Oligo, you will spearhead the scientific strategy and execution of our oligonucleotide platform, driving innovation in RNA-targeted therapeutics.
  • You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to shape project direction, influence decision-making, and ensure scientific excellence throughout the drug discovery process.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage external discovery projects, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with external partners.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and objectives to achieve project goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with external partners and internal teams to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Reporting: Communicate project status, achievements, and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
  • Innovation: Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the project team.
  • External Representation: Represent the department at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Scouting for new partnerships
  • Demonstrate & be a role model of Lundbeck’s behaviors: Curiosity, Adaptability, Accountability both internally in Lundbeck and externally in collaborations and partnerships

Your future team

 

You will be based in the Research organization of Lundbeck, working in a small cross-functional department. Your day-to-day interaction will be with the Head of External Research and Innovation (ER&I) and the various team members internally and externally for relevant projects.

 

The position is based in Valby, Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

 

What you bring to the team

 

  • You are a scientifically curious and collaborative leader with a strong background in oligonucleotide therapeutics and a passion for advancing innovative drug discovery. You thrive in cross-functional environments and are motivated by the opportunity to shape a growing modality area.
  • A PhD in relevant scientific discipline (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry) and at least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably in CNS disorders.
  • Proven experience leading oligonucleotide discovery projects in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting
  • Experience collaborating with external partners and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to drive scientific strategy and execution
