Your new role
As a Production Finance Business Partner, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of our production operations. You'll leverage your comprehensive understanding of the business while also diving into the details when necessary. This role demands financial expertise and leadership skills to effectively support both Finance and PDS stakeholders.
Key responsibilities are:

Lead selected financial processes in Production Finance, including budget, quarterly estimates, long- term plan (LTP), month- end close and other quarterly and year- end reporting activities. Prepare management presentations and standard deliverables for Executive Management and PDS management. This includes strategic financial analysis incl. target- setting process.

Finance partner to production areas, including (some of) Chemical Production, Pharmaceutical Production and Supply Chain, Facility Management, CMC (chemistry, manufacturing and controls), and Quality; collectively these are supported by a group of Finance Business Partners, which will be your new peers, who support both ad-hoc requests in relation to financial advisory and day-to-day finance activities.

Prepare business cases for optimization initiatives (e.g. buy or build), incl. CAPEX.

Participation in global production related projects, with interface to R&D and commercial. Spearhead driving simplification and optimization of our internal processes - and towards our stakeholders.

On-going development of Management Reporting, continuously supporting the move from generating data to generating insights, as well as identification of value drivers to measure productivity etc.
Your future team
Product Development and Supply is together with R&D Finance a part of Group Finance, which is located in Valby, Denmark. Along with the site in Krakow, Poland, we are around 10 people in the team. We serve as the business partner for the PDS organization, which comprises a global manufacturing and development network with sites in the US, Italy, France and Denmark. We approach our work with enthusiasm and an attitude of simplification and continuous improvement.
The position is based in Valby, Denmark.
What you bring to the team
We expect you to have prior pharma/biotech understanding, and for this specialist level that you have a thorough understanding of production finance. On the personal side you should be proactive, collaborative and independently take initiative.

A relevant Master’s Degree (finance, business, economics) and/or MBA with at least 5 years hands-on experience – ideally part of which is within production finance in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, or acquired similarly as a consultant. Of additional benefit is an understanding of the pharma value chain, in particular the links to R&D (in particular CMC) or commercial.

Analytical mindset and knowledge of production economy, financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting, i.e. familiar with concepts such as CAPEX, OPEX, production accounting and understand standard costs and variances.

Ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, and translate a PDS business topic into financial analysis, and vice versa.

Proven stakeholder management skills, with ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.

Strategic mindset, pragmatic problem-solving capabilities and focus on right-sizing complexity.

A commitment to meeting deadlines, and the ability to work around a periodically variable workload.

Fundamental knowledge of financial reporting and planning systems and tools, such as SAP, SAC and AFO.

Fluent in written and oral English.
