Production Manager in Finished Goods Production (12 months paternity leave)
Passionate about performance, data, and process improvements — and ready to make an impact in a hands-on leadership role?
Your new role
As Production Manager, you will lead one of the packaging teams in Finished Goods Production at Lundbeck’s Valby site. Your primary focus will be to secure safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations — while using data and LEAN methods to drive improvements in processes and performance.
You’ll play a key role in implementing structured ways of working and translating improvement ideas into concrete results on the shopfloor.
You will work closely with the technical and engineering manager to ensure smooth execution across shifts, stable production output, and continuous development of both people and processes. You’ll be visible on the shopfloor, supporting your team in overcoming challenges, implementing improvements, and fostering engagement and ownership in everything we do.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of skilled operators in Finished Goods Production
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Use data and structured problem-solving to identify and implement process improvements
- Contribute to developing LEAN practices and visual performance management tools
- Secure compliance with GMP and internal quality standards
- Collaborate closely with technical, quality, and planning functions to optimize production flow and minimize downtime
- Support change initiatives and ensure new ways of working are sustained in daily operations
- Be a visible, supportive presence on the shopfloor — coaching, listening, and ensuring issues are solved effectively and sustainably.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to apply their technical and analytical mindset in a leadership role and gain experience in a global pharmaceutical environment.
Your future team
You’ll join a dedicated and experienced production team within Finished Goods Production — a key part of Lundbeck’s Pharmaceutical Production organization in Valby. Our packaging area plays a crucial role in ensuring that high-quality products reach patients on time.
You’ll lead a committed team of operators who take pride in their work and in supporting each other. The atmosphere is open, hands-on, and collaborative — we solve problems together and continuously strive for smarter, safer, and more efficient ways to work.
As a leader, you’ll be part of the Finished Goods Production leadership team and work closely with other production leaders, technical manager, engineering manager and GMP manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to apply their technical and analytical mindset in a leadership role and gain experience in a global pharmaceutical environment.
What you bring to the team
We’re looking for a structured and improvement-minded leader who enjoys turning data into action and supporting operational excellence.
- Relevant technical or production background (engineering or similar)
- Experience from production or process environments, ideally with knowledge of GMP
- Familiarity with LEAN, process optimization, and structured problem-solving
- Ability to implement and sustain change in daily operations
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to be visible and hands-on on the shopfloor
- Fluent in Danish and English
The position is based in Valby, Denmark.
