Project Manager, Supply Chain Project Management
Do you enjoy creating structure, driving cross-functional projects and connecting the dots across Supply Chain, from manufacturing to markets? Join us in this temporary Project Manager role, where you will take ownership of key Supply Chain projects and help develop how we manage projects at Lundbeck.
Your new role
As Project Manager in Supply Chain, you will lead cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives across our Supply Chain organization. This is a one-year temporary position.
Your assignments will vary in scope and complexity and may include projects related to supply chain improvements, process optimization, operating models, digital solutions and changes to our existing supply chains.
In addition, you will have an important role in driving the continued development of our Supply Chain Project Management roadmap. We are on a journey towards a more consistent and professional approach to project management, and you will help us translate this ambition into practical tools, governance and ways of working.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading cross-functional Supply Chain projects from definition through execution and implementation.
- Creating clear project structures, plans, milestones, responsibilities and follow-up.
- Analyzing complex problems and information and translating them into clear options, recommendations and actions.
- Facilitating alignment and decision-making across stakeholders and functions.
- Identifying risks, dependencies and issues and ensuring appropriate follow-up and escalation.
- Driving selected elements of the Supply Chain Project Management roadmap, working closely with the Director and the rest of the project management team.
- This includes developing and implementing practical project management tools and ways of working, and strengthening project and portfolio governance, for example through improved project intake, prioritisation, portfolio review processes and a fit-for-purpose stage-gate model.
- Facilitating workshops and working sessions and translating discussions into tangible outcomes.
The role combines hands-on project management with the opportunity to help shape how we manage projects across Supply Chain. You will collaborate with stakeholders across CMC, QA, Regulatory Affairs, Artwork & Master Data, Production Planning, Contract Manufacturers and Commercial.
Through your work, you will help secure operations and build efficient, resilient supply chains, ensuring that we continue to meet patient needs worldwide.
Your future team
Supply Chain Project Management is part of Lundbeck Supply Chain, and you will join a highly experienced team with strong expertise in supply chain and project management. We work independently, take pride in high standards and accountability, and support each other through collaboration and trust. You will report to the Director of Supply Chain Project Management, and your primary workplace is in Copenhagen, Denmark with limited travel. Virtual meetings outside office hours due to time zone differences between Lundbeck sites, partners and service providers can be expected occasionally, depending on the projects.
The position is based in Valby, Denmark.
What you bring to the team
- A relevant university degree within supply chain, business, engineering, pharmacy, natural sciences or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with project management or consultancy within pharmaceutical supply chain, CMC, or contract manufacturing.
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to structure complex information and translate analysis and stakeholder input into clear recommendations and practical solutions.
- A structured and systematic approach to planning, execution and follow-up.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills and confidence working across different functions.
- The ability to work independently, take ownership and maintain momentum.
- A pragmatic mindset with an interest in improving processes and ways of working.
- Strong digital capabilities and a tech-savvy mindset, with the ability to use AI and other digital tools to improve analysis, productivity, communication and project execution.
