Public Affairs Specialist

Are you interested in joining a global public affairs team where you will have an important role in positioning Lundbeck with policy makers and patient advocacy groups? Our commitment is to advance brain health for all, and this is an opportunity to join us.

Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?

As our new Public Affairs Specialist, you will support Lundbeck’s economic diplomacy activities to ensure the best possible business environment for Lundbeck. In addition, you will have the opportunity to advance our engagement in the Danish Life Science Lighthouse and develop and maintain our value-driven policy work based on the value-at-stake methodology.

Your new role will allow you to build and maintain important international relationships and work with high-level stakeholders, as your daily work will include:

  • positioning Lundbeck in international diplomacy settings

  • supporting affiliates in international relations and embassy collaboration

  • preparing our senior management for appearances in international political settings, public meetings and events

  • mapping, analyzing and monitoring policies, trends and stakeholders relevant for global public affairs

  • building partnerships and alliances with external stakeholders

You will also contribute to the further development of our Public Affairs toolbox with materials and tools in line with our policy positions.

Your future team

You will be part of Global Communication and Public Affairs department, which consists of 14 colleagues at our headquarters and a global network of many more. We are responsible for areas such as Internal Communication, Media Relations, Corporate Branding, Positioning, DE&I and not least, Global Public Affairs. As a team, we recognize dedicated work and at the same time have an informal and fun workplace. We believe in individual responsibility and work with a high degree of self-planning.

What you bring to the team

You have relevant work experience from industry, consultancy or a public institution, particularly with economic diplomacy and political agenda setting.

We also imagine that you have experience with:

  • Conducting analyses

  • Quantifying business impact

  • Management support

You bring the following qualities with you:

  • A strategic and structured mindset

  • Good people and networking skills

  • Solid communication and persuasion skills

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and find solutions to complex problems – by collaborating with others

As much of our policy work is done with Danish stakeholders, for example, the Danish government and public institutions, Danish skills are required.

Our promise to you

Lundbeck offers an inspiring workplace, passionate colleagues and a culture characterized as collaborative – a must to successfully bring our treatments through research and development all the way to commercialization and the people who need them. We offer a mix of exciting tasks and numerous development opportunities that are balanced with initiatives focused on your well-being.
