Regional HR Business Partner

Are you passionate about partnering, influencing and sparring with business leaders? We are currently looking for a Regional HR Business Partner to join our HR Business Partner team.

You will be part of a highly-motivated team of 9 HR Business Partnering colleagues working with the line of business in both Denmark and abroad. The HR Partner team is part of  Corporate HR with approx. 30+ HR professionals. Our work environment is characterized by knowledge sharing, collaboration and trust.

HR Business Partnering in Lundbeck plays a critical role in linking people, organization and strategy. We are a well-respected function and have a seat at the table when important decisions are being made.


Embedded in the business, we partner with our Business Leaders in setting & implementing our growth strategy in affiliates whilst ensuring the correct balance between global and local perspectives

The position is international but based at our headquarters in Valby, Copenhagen.



Your job and key responsibilities
As Regional HR Business partner for the European region and Global Strategic Marketing in HQ and you will be part of the management teams. You act as day to day sparring partner to the Senior Vice President of Europe and the Senior Vice President for Global Marketing and have a dotted line responsibility for the local HR managers in Europe. You will report to the Senior Director, HR Business Partnering and Talent Attraction.


Some of your key responsibilities are:


  • Understand the business so you can be a trusted advisor and strategic support to SVP and to the VP’s or MD’s where necessary
  • Overall responsible for corporate HR activities in the areas (e.g. HR annual wheel processes, organizational reviews, talent management and succession planning) and work closely with our HR colleagues in the Center of Excellence teams
  • Deliver relevant strategic and organizational impact by executing on and defining HR objectives that link HR strategy, goals and activities to the business strategy and objectives
  • Ensure that local HR policies and activities are conducted in accordance with corporate HR policies and guidelines
  • Building close relationships to the affiliate-based HR managers and other members of the local management teams is an essential part of the role. Being able to identify and manage efficiently relevant stakeholders across functions and geographies, and facilitate good decision-making processes in the organizational area.
  • Earn a reputation for business value through consistent delivery and being proactive
  • Navigate culture & geography and balance local needs when driving change and embedding Lundbeck’s organizational culture


Travel is estimated to 25 – 35 days per year.

Our preferred candidate holds the following professional and personal competences:


  • +5 years of HR Business Partner experience
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong relationship-builder
  • Proactive and action oriented and flexible personality
  • An academic degree and fluency in oral and written English. Danish is an advantage
  • Extensive business understanding and customer orientation
  • Knowledge of and experience with all HR disciplines on a strategic and tactical level
  • People management experience and intercultural understanding is a must
  • Ability and courage to persistently challenge status quo
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
