Research assistant or scientist - 1.5-year maternity replacement

 

Job description

We are looking for a research assistant or scientist with strong in-vivo experimental skills to join Lundbeck research in the department for Pathology and Fluid biomarkers in a 1.5-year maternity replacement. As part of the Pathology and Fluid biomarkers team, you are conducting in-vivo experiments, collecting tissues/biofluids, analysing biosamples, and subsequently analysing data from mechanistic models and related biomarker assays.

 

Key responsibilities

- Conduct in-vivo experiments in naïve or perturbed rodents with focus on measuring biofluid markers to support translational pharmacodynamic effects.

- Join surgery group and perform stereotaxic surgeries in rodents.

- Analyse bio-samples by ligand binding assays (e.g. ELISA, MSD).

- Ensure documentation of experiments in Lundbeck data management systems

- Support technology development, implementation and data analysis standard operating procedures.

Desired qualifications

Our preferred candidate has the following professional and personal qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience with rodent in-vivo laboratory work.
  • Excellent technical skills in rodent tissue sampling including CSF sampling.
  • Experience with rodent handling during diverse experimental conductions
  • Experience with stereotaxic surgery in rodents
  • Experience with conducting and analysing ligand binding assays experiments.
  • Master of science degree is an advantage
  • Scientific knowledge of neurodegenerative disease biomarkers and PK/PD is an advantage.
  • Strong collaborator and communicator in English
