As our new Cyber Risk Manager, you will be responsible for Lundbeck’s cyber risk and third-party risk management process. You will join the Cyber Security team consisting of 5 dedicated and professional colleagues covering cyber security, incident management and awareness. Together with the rest of the IT organization, we support Lundbeck’s full value chain – from early research, to development, production, sales, and supporting functions.

The Cyber Security team is part of Corporate IT with a total of around 70 colleagues based at Lundbeck’s headquarters in Valby, Copenhagen.

Your job and key responsibilities

As cyber risk manager you will have a high degree of independence and influence in setting the direction and developing Lundbeck’s cyber risk framework.

Another important task will be to assess and monitor the security of vendors and data processors. As such a big part of your daily work will be to engage with internal and external stakeholders including solution architects, business owners, sourcing and legal. You must therefore have good communication skills and be able to translate complex issues into everyday terms. 

As part of the cyber security team, you will also play an important part in analyzing our current security level as well as planning and prioritizing further improvements of the cyber security area.

Main activities

  • Develop and drive Lundbeck’s cyber risk management framework
  • Monitor and report on the security of external providers and data processors
  • Carry out business impact and risk assessments and prepare documentation and reports
  • Participate in planning, management and execution of security reviews and IT audits
  • Advise on IT security and risk management issues
  • Contribute to the optimization of security standards, processes and guidelines
  • Participate in day-to-day security administration and tasks



Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience from a similar position, working with Risk Management, IT Security or IT Auditing.
  • Good knowledge of information security standards (ISO27000 series, NIST Cyber Security framework or similar).
  • Understanding of data privacy regulation (EU/GDPR)
  • Relevant security or IT risk management certifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CRISC or ambitions to pursue certification).
  • Risk-based and pragmatic approach to security
  • The ability to drive results and work well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, orally and in writing
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • You are not expected to be technical expert, but the job requires a certain technical insight.
