This is a newly established position created to strengthen our analytical capabilities within small‑molecule development. Do you have an analytical chemistry background within small molecules. Then you might be our new Senior Analytical Chemist in Analytical Development (AD).
Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?
- You will be involved in analytical development work such as method development, and stability testing of our new chemical entries.
- You will take part in the support to the chemical development and production, and you will perform QC tasks when working with release analysis of starting materials, intermediates, and drug substances.
- You will also contribute to other tasks such as qualification of equipment, writing Standard Operating Procedures, Working Instructions, Analytical Procedures, documenting deviations as well as development and maintenance of other systems.
- You will collaborate with highly skilled technicians working with a broad range of different analytical techniques (UHPLC; HPLC, GC, NMR, KF etc.).
Your future team
AD is part of the Chemical & Pharmaceutical Development (C&PD) organization. C&PD is a division responsible for the CMC development and innovation within new drug candidates based on chemically synthesized molecules. We offer state‑of‑the‑art laboratories equipped with a wide range of analytical techniques, providing an inspiring environment with plenty of opportunities for scientific and professional development.
In AD, we contribute broadly to the development of both drug substance and drug product, and we play a key role in ensuring the quality of materials for clinical use.
You will get 29 colleagues equally divided between technicians and scientists.
What you bring to the team
Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:
- PhD or MSc within chemistry, pharmaceutical science, engineering, or another relevant scientific background.
- Potentially scientific skills in analytical development within small molecules and general knowledge of organic chemistry.
- Practical experience with UHPLC, HPLC, GC, NMR or other relevant analytical techniques.
- Preferable practical experience working under GMP or similar quality systems and capable to work in a structured way.
- Ambitious with a positive mindset and happy to work both individually and in teams.
Your workplace will be located in Valby, Denmark. The position requires a limited amount of travelling.
