Your new role
As Senior CMO Manager, you will be responsible for coordination of commercial biologics manufacturing across a global CMO network and serve as the primary point of contact for manufacturing operations and supply execution.
You will combine technical expertise, operational leadership, and business insight to ensure reliable, compliant manufacturing throughout the product lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading commercial Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing activities.
- Act as the operational integrator ensuring technical, quality, and supply activities move together effectively
- Managing relationships and manufacturing execution across global CMOs while ensuring batch production readiness, reliable supply, high quality and timely delivery.
- Leading cross-functional activities and task forces to resolve manufacturing, supply, and quality-related challenges in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and CMOs.
- Supporting and coordinating Subject Matter Experts across technical disciplines without formal people management responsibility.
- Driving deviations, change controls, investigations, risk management, process improvements, and manufacturing optimization initiatives.
- Providing oversight of commercial manufacturing activities, including batch release support, regulatory interactions, and acting as Person in Plant when required.
- Leading initiatives for process optimization to ensure cost-effective manufacturing throughout the product life cycle and lowering the COGs
- Contributing to strategic manufacturing planning, capacity management, forecasting, budgets, and CMO business cases.
- Supporting transfer of late-stage development projects into commercial manufacturing.
Your future team
You will join CMC Biologics, a organization of 115+ skilled colleagues located in Copenhagen and our Center of Excellence in Seattle, US.
Reporting to the Senior Director for Biologics Production, you will work closely with a team of five experts responsible for commercial manufacturing of Drug Substance and Drug Product across a global CMO network.
Collaboration is key to our success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including CMC Development, Corporate Quality Biologics QA/QC, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure seamless production and product release. Expect 2-4 business trips annually to CMO partners in Europe, Asia and United States.

What you bring to the team
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in biologics manufacturing and CMO operations.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
- A MSc or PhD in pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry, biological sciences, or a related discipline.
- Solid experience managing commercial manufacturing activities at CMOs within pharma or biotech.
- Solid understanding of biologics Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing
- Experience working in GMP-regulated environments, including deviations, change controls, investigations, and batch release support.
- Experience leading cross-functional activities and acting as a key point of contact across internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative leadership approach with the ability to guide and support Subject Matter Experts without formal people management responsibility.
- Strong business understanding, including experience supporting budgets, forecasting, cost optimization, and CMO business cases.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting commercialization, product lifecycle management, or late-stage biologics development is considered an advantage.

Annual base salary range: 786 000 - 1 081 300DKK gross
