Welcome to Patient Insights

This department is a newly established initiative within the Medical Affairs & Pharmacovigilance (MAPV) area in R&D. The Senior Director, Head of Patient Insights will set the Vision and Mission for the new function and will be responsible for forming a small, but dedicated team of skilled and passionate employees who will work in close collaboration and partnership across all functions in R&D with the ambition to enable patient-focused therapeutic development, disease management, benefit : risk assessments and development of regulatory and patient access opportunities.   


Your job and key responsibilities

As Senior Director, Head Patient Insights, you will deliver a framework for interactions with the patient and caregiver community for R&D purposes, provide expertise and training on methodologies, e.g. patient preference studies, ensure strategic linking to our development programs and facilitate optimal data generation across R&D. You and your group will also represent Lundbeck in relevant external activities and platforms focused on the patient perspective and will work in collaboration with our Corporate Reputation & Advocacy Team in advocating for prioritization of mental health in the public health agenda and in health care systems around the world.

Our preferred candidate:

  • Holds a University degree, Ph.D within Life Science or equivalent.
  • >10 years working experience within the pharmaceutical industry, academia or a CRO, preferably within R&D
  • >4 years working experience with specific focus on integration of the patient- and caregiver perspective in R&D, including significant insights and hands-on experience with methodologies and best practices for patient-based evidence generation
  • High personal motivation and passion for working with patients and caregivers combined with ability to deliver in a highly scientific and dynamic cross-functional matrix
  • Strong data quality mindset, analytical skills and methodological understanding as well as excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills at all levels inside and outside the organisation
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
