Your new role
In this role, you will:
- Lead and develop a team of analytical scientists and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.
- Drive analytical development activities across Lundbeck’s small-molecule portfolio, ensuring high scientific quality and timely project delivery.
- Provide strategic and technical leadership within analytical development and characterization.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across CMC, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing to enable successful drug development.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Analytical Development organization through talent development, resource planning, and continuous improvement.
You will work alongside dedicated and highly skilled colleagues in a collaborative and science-driven environment, where you will have the opportunity to shape a newly established leadership position.
Your future team
AD is part of the Chemical & Pharmaceutical Development (C&PD) organization. C&PD is responsible for CMC development and innovation for new drug candidates based on chemically synthesized molecules.
In AD, we play a key role across the value chain, contributing to drug substance and drug product development and release for clinical trials through analytical characterization, solid-state and particle size studies, and pre-formulation analysis.
You will be part of a department of 30 colleagues, equally divided between technicians and scientists, located in Valby and Lumsås, Denmark. The department is organized into three teams: Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Phys/Chem. As Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading one of these teams, reporting directly to the senior director of AD.

What you bring to the team
Our preferred candidate brings the following qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving performance in an environment within analytical science.
- An MSc or PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, or a related scientific discipline, combined with solid experience in analytical development of small molecule pharmaceuticals.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate effectively across functions while balancing scientific, business, and operational priorities.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, with a structured approach to quality, compliance, and delivery, combined with a pragmatic and business-oriented mindset.
The position is based in Valby, Denmark and requires limited amount of travelling.

Annual base salary range: 786 000 - 1 081 300 DKK gross
At Lundbeck, we are committed to fair and transparent pay. Please note that the final base salary within the stated range will be based on relevant qualifications, skills, competencies, and level of proficiency as well as internal pay equity.
