Senior Manager, Global Portfolio Communication

This is a strategic role with clear ownership of PR programs and product communications across the lifecycle. You will drive integrated communications strategies that strengthen our corporate narrative, build confidence in our portfolio, and elevate Lundbeck’s reputation as a focused neuroscience leader.
Your new role
As Senior Manager, Portfolio Communications, you act as the global communications lead for assigned brands and pipeline programs. You develop and execute integrated internal and external communications strategies aligned with business priorities and lifecycle milestones.
You will own and drive PR programs for your portfolio – from data readouts and congress milestones to launch readiness and disease awareness. You ensure proactive pipeline news flow management while anticipating risks and opportunities in a dynamic, competitive, and highly regulated environment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating strong scientific and strategic acumen by engaging confidently with internal experts across research, development, medical affairs and portfolio strategy, as well as external scientific stakeholders, understanding their language and translating insights into impactful communications strategies.
- Developing and driving global communications strategies for products and pipeline programs across the lifecycle.
- Serving as the communications lead for assigned brands, owning and executing PR programs in close partnership with cross-functional teams and global affiliates.
- Designing and delivering media strategies, including press materials, media engagement and spokesperson preparation.
- Managing portfolio and pipeline news flow to ensure strategic sequencing and strong narrative consistency.
- Translating complex scientific and clinical data into clear, compelling and differentiated messaging platforms.
- Connecting brand and pipeline progress to Lundbeck’s broader corporate strategy and purpose.
- Anticipating communications risks based on competitive dynamics, stakeholder expectations and regulatory considerations.
- Tracking performance and measuring impact to continuously strengthen communications effectiveness.
This role requires strong judgment, strategic foresight and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

What you bring to the team
You are a strategic communicator with strong pharmaceutical business acumen and a proven ability to lead high-impact product and portfolio communications. You drive initiatives forward, influencing complex global stakeholder environments.
You bring:
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech communications, with a strong focus on product, brand, portfolio or R&D communications within neuroscience.
- Demonstrated PR track record, including ownership of media strategies and milestone communications preferably within rare disease or neuro-rare.
- Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain, regulatory framework and the dynamics of lifecycle communications.
- Proven ability to anticipate communications needs based on product maturity, competitive landscape and market context.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners, enterprise perspective.
Additional qualifications:
- Neuroscience or broader scientific expertise demonstrated through formal education or substantial professional experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Typically, 8+ years of relevant experience in global communications within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
