Join our global team at Lundbeck as a Senior Medical Specialist, Therapeutic Areas within Global Clinical Development and make a significant impact in the field of rare neurological disorders. In this role, you will oversee clinical drug development (phase IB-IV) and provide scientific support to clinical trials and other clinical development activities. You will act as a key member of our Trial Management Team and Clinical Focus Team, contributing to the planning and execution of clinical trials to current scientific, ethical, practical, and regulatory standards.

 

Your new role

 

As a Senior Medical Specialis, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing clinical drug development and providing scientific support to clinical trials within the therapeutic area of rare neurological diseases. You will act as a Clinical Research Scientist and/or Medical Expert for clinical trials, contributing to the planning and execution of innovative clinical development programs. The role also holds the potential for acting as Clinical Lead, depending on qualifications and portfolio needs. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external partners, including scientific experts and regulatory bodies, ensuring your work has a worldwide impact and a significant internal footprint.

The Therapeutic Area department is a part of Global Clinical Development that reports into our Research and Development business area. You will join our team of highly scientifically skilled colleagues who take pride in driving innovative clinical trials and development programs across many different therapeutic areas. The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

What you bring to the team

 

  • A Medical Doctor (MD) degree and post-graduate clinical training or experience and practice, ideally with focus on rare diseases.
  • A PhD degree and/ or significant clinical research experience within a relevant field is considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical development experience from the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with significant experience in late-stage development (phase 3) and regulatory submissions, ideally in the field of rare diseases.
  • Proven skills in presenting clinical data at scientific and clinical internal and external events and meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization.
  • Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Accountability and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external partners.

Annual base salary range: 786 000 - 1 081 300 DKK gross

 

At Lundbeck, we are committed to fair and transparent pay. Please note that the final base salary within the stated range will be based on relevant qualifications, skills, competencies, and level of proficiency as well as internal pay equity.
