Senior Publications Coordinator

A position as Publications Coordinator is currently open within the Publications and Clinical Trial Registry (Pubs & CTR) Section in the Medical Documentation Division. 


The Medical Documentation Division is a diverse group with different nationalities and professional backgrounds. We are approximately 20 employees who are engaged in reporting and publishing results from the clinical development programmes and for preparing documentation to support marketing authorization applications.


The Pubs & CTR Section, currently 6 people, is responsible for ensuring high quality clinical scientific publications for marketed products and those under development. The Section also ensures timely posting of clinical study protocol information and clinical study results in the public domain, for example, on Publication of clinical research and disclosure of clinical trial results, now also in lay language, have become increasingly important on the global agenda, with new legislation on the way and an intense public debate taking place. To support and develop Lundbeck’s activities and procedures in this area, we are recruiting a Publications Coordinator.


Your job and key responsibilities:


As a Publications Coordinator you will be managing our publication projects in close collaboration with Medical Writers, Medical Affairs, external agencies, and subsidiaries to ensure efficient and timely production of publications, primarily abstracts and posters. The Publications Coordinator further develops the layout of posters and presentations for scientific congresses and coordinates these activities in a cross-disciplinary setting within Lundbeck, with our business partners, and with external authors. The Publications Coordinator uses his/her expertise in layout and graphics to communicate the results from clinical studies in a visually appealing and easy-to-read format. All documents are written in English and comply with relevant external guidelines.

Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:

  • You have an academic degree, for example, a Master in International Business Communication or a Master in Science with a special interest in scientific communication
  • You have a genuine interest in scientific communication and are enthusiastic about the prospect of breaking new ground and influencing your own development as well as directing others within this area
  • You have previously worked with design tools, for example, InDesign or similar vector graphics
  • You are an excellent project manager and you have a solid insight into how IS/IT systems can facilitate processes and project planning, for example, MS project
  • You work effectively in teams, plan and deliver activities and projects on time, and take changing circumstances in your stride 
  • You have experience within the field of publications and good knowledge of clinical research and the pharmaceutical industry
  • You have a methodological approach to work and the ability to maintain a helicopter view without losing attention to details
  • You are a person with strong interpersonal and communication skills in a global environment
  • You are excellent in written and spoken English
