Technician/Senior Technician – Molecular & Single Cell Pharmacology  
 

Do you want to part of making next-generation drugs for people living with brain diseases using your advanced skills in the lab? If yes, you could be the one we’re looking for to join our department! Specifically, we are searching for a highly motivated Technician or Senior Technician with solid experience in in vitro and ex vivo biochemical assays as well hands-on experience with primary cultures from brain tissue.

In your new role you will work closely together with a scientist in the department to generate data in the lab to propel our understanding of these diseases and the molecules we work with 

To do so, you will i) be responsible for setting up and maintaining primary in vitro cultures from rodent brains, in particular microglia and cortical neurons, and ii) prepare samples and perform various biochemical and immuno-based assays (e.g., Western Blots or CisBio assays) as well as immunocytochemistry. This could from various sample sources such as cell lines, primary cultures, and brain tissue

You will join a department of experienced technicians, scientists, and students where key values are collaborative spirit, mutual respect and scientific discovery and progress. We work closely together within the group and across functions to deliver data to support drug discovery at Lundbeck; all while having interesting, varied, and fun days. 

 

Together with the rest of the Neuroscience organization we are responsible for the biological research at Lundbeck and are focused on generating pre-clinical data and insight that are necessary for advancing both early- and late-stage drug discovery projects.  

 

 

What you bring to the team 

 

This position will be a suitable role for you if you have a laboratory technician education (laborantuddannelse) or equivalent with several years of hands-on experience with molecular in vitro assays and brain primary cultures.  

Specific experience in working with rodent brains and/or professional experience within the Pharma or Biotech industry is advantageous. 

Applicants with PhD degrees will not be considered.
