Are you ready to help create a safe chemical working environment at a leading Danish pharmaceutical company? Do you want to gain valuable experience in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)? If so, we invite you to join our team.
Your new role
As our student assistant, you will take an active part in our daily work with chemical safety and gain valuable experience within both HSE and the wider business. You will mainly support our regulatory chemical safety team and help drive a safer working environment across our global organization.
Your tasks will primarily consist of:
- Managing and updating our safety data sheets for chemicals across our global organization.
- Supporting the team in projects, data analysis, information gathering, and communication.
In addition, you will support other colleagues in the HSE department in ad hoc tasks including:
- Assisting in the planning and execution of seminars, webinars, meetings and information campaigns.
- Providing administrative support to the HSE department manager.
- Support to department projects and tasks.
You’ll work approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility to balance your schedule around classes and exams. In return, we expect a responsible mindset and a willingness to meet important business deadlines. Ideally, you can remain in the role for approximately two years.
Your future team
You will be working in Lundbeck’s headquarter in Valby, Copenhagen, reporting to Senior Director of Corporate Health, Safety & Environment. The department ensures HSE compliance and is responsible for the development of Lundbeck’s HSE strategy and the execution of related strategic projects, systems, campaigns etc.
You will be a part of our chemical team in our department of 13 highly skilled and dedicated employees, who support the entire organization across the world.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and we expect you to be primarily present in the office.
What you bring to the team
We imagine that you:
- Have a foundational understanding of chemistry. Knowledge of chemical regulations or toxicological and ecotoxicological assessment methods is a plus.
- Are curious, eager to learn, and interested in contributing both professionally and socially to our department.
- Feel comfortable navigating IT systems and ideally have experience working with SharePoint or other digital collaboration tools.
- Are currently studying for an MSc in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or a related field.
