Student Assistant – Pharmaceutical/Analytical Development

Are you studying pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, or a related field? Are you interested in gaining hands-on work experience in an international pharmaceutical company?

We are looking for 2 student assistants to join our Pharmaceutical and Analytical Development Department respectively at Lundbeck's headquarters in Valby.

Your new role

As a student assistant, you will support the department with a broad range of practical, administrative, and simple laboratory-related tasks. Your work will help ensure that daily processes run smoothly and that colleagues in the department are well supported.

We expect you to work approximately 10-15 hours per week, primarily during regular working hours at Lundbeck's headquarters in Valby. We offer flexible working hours that can be planned around your studies, exams, and other academic commitments.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the departments as well as with other student assistants in the area.

Your tasks may include:

  • Ordering goods and supplies
  • Archiving and document handling
  • Updating databases and internal systems
  • Supporting contract-related work
  • Booking travels
  • Assisting with health and safety-related assignments
  • In Pharmaceutical Development: Provide laboratory support by performing routine lab tasks, including simple formulation-related work such as handling granulates and tablet-technical tasks, as well as basic packaging activities.
  • In Analytical Development: Provide laboratory support by making different types of HPLC solvents, helping with cleaning of glassware, as well as other laboratory supporting tasks.
  • Restocking consumables, accurate labelling, and maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Supporting general housekeeping tasks in the department, including watering plants and keeping shared areas organized.

Your future team

Pharmaceutical Development is responsible for formulation development and supports clinical manufacturing for all small-molecule pharmaceutical products in Lundbeck's pipeline.

Analytical Development is responsible for all analytical development tasks and supports analysis of our new pipeline drug substances and drug products.

You will join a team of dedicated colleagues who work together to develop drug product formulations for Lundbeck's future pipeline and commercial products. Both departments offer a collaborative and supportive environment where you will gain insight into development and daily operations in a global pharmaceutical company.

The position is based in Valby, Denmark.

What you bring to the team

We imagine that you are at the beginning of your studies in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, or a related field.

Our preferred candidate:

  • Is systematic, structured, and detail-oriented
  • Enjoys working with systems and following established procedures
  • Has basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Is flexible, responsible, and able to work independently
  • Is a team player with good communication skills
  • Has some knowledge of pharmaceutical or scientific terminology
  • Is fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
