Sustainability Specialist (Maternity Cover - 18 months)

 

Do you want to help shape how Lundbeck advances sustainability across a global pharmaceutical business dedicated to improving brain health? Your new role

 

As Sustainability Specialist, you will support Lundbeck’s sustainability agenda across the business and help turn commitments into actions. The role offers a broad range of responsibilities and good insight into how sustainability is managed in a global pharmaceutical company. This position is a maternity cover for 18 months.

 

Your main tasks will be:

 

  • Advising on sustainability action plans, developing policies, and communication, working with many internal stakeholders across the different business functions.
  • In collaboration with Group Reporting and Compliance, manage the annual double materiality assessment process, advising colleagues across the organization on methodology and actual sustainability impacts and risks.
  • Review and contribute to sustainability reporting for our Annual Report, as well as quarterly release.
  • Other tasks, for instance, related to serving the Sustainability Committee incl. meeting planning and execution, preparing material.

 

Your future team

 

The Corporate Sustainability team is leading Lundbeck’s global efforts to operationalize Lundbeck’s sustainability commitments and aspirations. You will be part of a team of three full-time employees and one student position, and we work cross-functionally with the global organization. You will report to the Head of Corporate Sustainability.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Fully remote applications will not be considered.

 

What you bring to the team

 

You bring excellent English communication skills along with solid stakeholder management capabilities. You are excited by planning, optimizing, and running processes, enjoy structure, and are open to using AI to improve process efficiency. You are also a team player who thrives in dynamic environments, welcomes feedback, challenges others constructively, and brings positive energy to the team.

 

To be successful in this role, we imagine that your experience includes:

 

  • Several years of experience with sustainability in a multinational corporate function or as an external advisor.
  • Relevant academic degree within business, economic, social, or natural science, or similar.
  • Understand how corporations must work within the due diligence guidelines and principles of OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
  • Experience in working with risk and impact assessments, for instance, as part of double materiality assessments.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
