SUMMARY

The Associate Director, Trintellix Marketing will serve as the HCP Marketing leader, responsible for setting brand strategy and overseeing execution, in collaboration with an alliance partner. Reporting to the Brand Lead, Trintellix, this individual will serve as the marketing leader on the cross-functional brand team, which is accountable for brand performance and charged with all brand strategy and tactical planning decisions.  This individual collaboratively leads effective implementation through influencing Lundbeck and alliance colleagues. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

 

People Leadership

  • Leads HCP marketing team to strategic and operational excellence by ensuring coordination and maximizing results for the brand
  • Drives strategy by coordinating activities across HCP and consumer marketers, ensuring consistent adherence to and execution of strategy
  • Creates and executes Individual Development Plans with direct report(s) to aid in professional growth of the team

 

Marketing Strategy

  • Collaboratively leads development of brand strategy by utilizing sound marketing principles and available market research
  • Proactively considers/identifies new strategies, tactics and vendors to challenge the team’s thinking and raise the level of performance, ultimately finding ways to do more with less
  • Establish strong strategic relationships with KOLs to understand how best to communicate the value of the brand
  • Provide input into lifecycle management initiatives
  • Works collaboratively with direct reports, brand leadership, and finance to build and manage the overall brand budget
  • For all initiatives, whenever possible, coaches team to establish ways to measure impact, reports results, and adjust plans accordingly

 

Marketing Execution

  • Partners with Brand Lead, cross-functional brand team, marketing team and Alliance colleagues to co-lead the annual planning process
  • Manages the Alliance budget in coordination with Alliance counterparts and agencies
  • Works closely with sales and brand leadership to monitor the progress of the brand and adjust appropriately, when necessary, to increase revenue and achieve overall brand success
  • Ensures all marketing projects are compliant and have obtained necessary approvals through the appropriate medical, legal, and regulatory process

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence

  • Co-Chairs Joint Commercialization Team (JCT) working group on behalf of Lundbeck
  • Co-chairs Sales Working group on behalf of Lundbeck marketing
  • Serves as primary contact for brand strategy execution by extended functions including Public Relations, Patient Advocacy and Sales Force Effectiveness
  • Serves as primary marketing team contact to Field Sales leadership
  • Ensures effective implementation of promotional materials and programs by providing appropriate direction to sales training and the field organization.
  • Develops cross-department support of the brand by coordinating within the Brand Operating Model with the brand and extended teams

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years sales, marketing or other relevant commercial or analytical experience
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare product brand marketing or sales or other pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare product commercial leadership experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills along with an ability to influence both within and outside the organization
  • Ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong scientific/medical aptitude and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and build consensus
  • Demonstrated relationship development with the ability to work effectively independently and as a leader of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, namely Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • MBA or master’s degree
  • People leadership experience with direct reports in pharma marketing, sales, or a related pharma commercial function
  • Experience and knowledge within the area psychiatry
  • Experience and knowledge of Major Depression
  • Experience leading a team of direct reports
  • Pharmaceutical sales and/or sales management experience
  • Experience working with alliance partners
  • Experience in development and execution of marketing promotional tactics
  • Background in biosciences as demonstrated on the job or through educational training
  • Budget management experience
  • Knowledge of the AMA, ACCME, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities

 

TRAVEL

  • Willingness/Ability to travel approximately 30% domestically. International travel may be required.
