SUMMARY

The Marketing Research Manager is responsible for directing and executing all market research initiatives in support of the commercialization strategy for one of our key brands.   This role will encompass all phases of research along the brand lifecycle continuum, which includes both potential new opportunities, key tracking studies and potential current opportunities in the marketplace.  Major responsibilities include designing and managing qualitative and quantitative studies, analyzing data and providing strategic direction and recommendations to brand leadership.  The manager is responsible for completing each project within agreed upon timelines and within budget.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborates with Marketing and Sales leadership to support them with timely, accurate, cost effective insights through research aligned to business goals and strategies.
  • Manages the entire market research process, including research design, sampling strategy, data collection, data analysis plan, providing key learnings and making recommendations aligned to business objectives
  • Develops and executes market research projects and budgets in support of brand strategy and tactics.  Provide feedback during the planning process on appropriate market research projects in alignment of brand strategy.
  • Develop strong working relationships with research and marketing peers at our co-promotion partner.
  • Provides market research expertise to support business cases for LCM and/or BD opportunities.  
  • Manages research vendors from RFP solicitation to selection to end-of-project reporting and budgeting.
  • Drives results through effective communication of key research insights to multiple audiences throughout the company.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years qualitative and/or quantitative market research experience OR pharmaceutical brand marketing or other commercial leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and build consensus.
  • Experience managing projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated relationship development with the ability to work effectively both independently or within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, namely Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing, Life Science or other related areas
  • Advanced degree, including MBA, MS, or Pharmacy degree
  • Pharmaceutical or CNS market research experience
  • Knowledge of secondary data sources
  • Experience with alliance partnerships

 

TRAVEL

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically.  International travel may be required.
