Summary: 

The Organizational Transformation Lead is responsible for overseeing, harmonizing, and accelerating Lundbeck’s enterprise workflow and AI-enabled transformation agenda, ensuring that all initiatives across the Lundbeck US organization deliver meaningful business impact, synergies, and long-term scalability.

The role will report to the SVP Finance and Business Planning US.

This role partners closely with the workstream leads as well as with HR and Communications and works across commercial, medical, enabling functions, and global partners to design, coordinate, and embed AI-forward workflows aligned with Lundbeck US transformation towards a bionic organization.

This leader ensures that every initiative has a clear future-state workflow, business and technology requirements, and value creation roadmap. They serve as the central integrator, ensuring cross-initiative consistency, governance, and progress toward Lundbeck’s broader AI and digital ambition.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Transformation Program Leadership

  • Leads the AI Operating Model Committee, ensuring consistent governance, decision-making, and alignment across all workflow-transformation and AI-enabled initiatives.
  • Lead the orchestration of Lundbeck’s AI-forward workflow transformation agenda across all US initiative workstreams, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and strategic imperatives.
  • Drive progress through the Blueprint → Lighthouse → Scale & Embed phases, ensuring rigorous workflow mapping, redesign, value proofs, and execution readiness
  • Serve as the coordinating body between initiative teams, HR, Legal, Compliance, and cross-cutting technical teams.

 

Workflow Design, Harmonization & Integration

  • Oversee the definition of as-is and to-be workflows for all initiatives, ensuring consistency, compatibility, and synergy across workstreams
  • Integrate design principles from Lundbeck’s broader AI strategy, including responsible AI governance, ethical use, and scalable model deployment
  • Ensure workflows incorporate AI-enabled steps, automation opportunities, and human-in-the-loop configurations that support a bionic operating model.

 

Program Governance & Progress Management

  • Establish cross-initiative governance mechanisms, including milestones, KPIs, and value tracking frameworks anchored in viability, feasibility, and value creation
  • Prepare and deliver strategic updates to senior leadership, including USLT.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Growth Leadership

  • Works closely with the USLT to shape priorities, drive momentum, and ensure the transformation agenda is embedded, understood, and executed consistently across the organization.
  • Partner with initiative leads to ensure clarity of scope, deliverables, workstream composition, and cross-functional engagement.
  • Work closely with HR and Communications partners to map organizational competency development as well as keeping the organization informed about the progress
  • Drive high-quality stakeholder management across US and global teams, promoting enterprise thinking and a cohesive transformation narrative.

 

Workflow Analytics, Investment Planning & Value Realization

  • Guide initiative teams in defining business and technology requirements, prioritizing features, and establishing detailed timelines and KPIs during blueprinting
  • Support bottom-up investment planning related to tech stack, data dependencies, and infrastructure needs.
  • Help quantify, track, and communicate the value created through transformed workflows across brands and functions.

 

Culture Building & Capability Enablement

  • Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and AI-forward ways of working, inspired by the enterprise-wide leadership expectations for digital and AI transformation
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and help ensure initiative teams include the right mindsets and skill sets (entrepreneurial, analytical, customer-centric) as well as a growth mindset.

 

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in organizational transformation, business process redesign, strategic program management, or digital/AI-enabled operating model change.
  • Deep experience across Finance, Operations, and/or organizational transformation, enabling effective integration of AI-forward workflows into core business processes and performance systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-initiative, cross-functional transformation programs with complex stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with workflow mapping, operating model design, process redesign, and/or AI/automation integration.
  • Proven influencing skills in a matrix organization, with excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex transformation concepts into clear business narratives for diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic, high-change environments.

 

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in life sciences, biopharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Understanding of AI-enablement approaches, digital product development, or advanced analytics workflows.
  • Experience working with executive-level stakeholders or enterprise transformation offices.
  • Exposure to responsible AI frameworks, digital governance, or data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Strong preference for candidate to based in Deerfield, IL office

 

Travel:

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically. International travel may be required.
  • If based remotely, additional travel will be required to Deerfield, IL, to meet the needs of the role and the business

 

The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $260,000 - $300,000 and eligibility for a 30% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan. Benefits for this position include flexible paid time off (PTO), health benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, and company match 401k. Additional benefits information can be found on our career site. Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.
