Senior Manager Medical Information - Remote Opportunity

This is a remote position:  Open to candidates anywhere in greater United States

SUMMARY:

The Sr. Manager, Medical Information will oversee all Medical Information activities for Lundbeck US products.  This will include oversite of the development and approval of such documents as the standard and custom medical letters, clinical dossiers, and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).  The position will also provide oversite and direction to the US-based medical information call center as well as serve as the US Medical Information point-person for Global Medical Affairs.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages the Medical Information processes, including:
    • coordination with Global Medical Affairs
    • oversight and management of all aspects of the US Medical Information Call Center
    • development and continual optimization of the US medical affairs web portal medical information services 
  • Interface with cross-functional key stakeholders to ensure alignment of Medical Information-related strategies and activities in support of overarching product strategic imperatives
  • Forecasts and effectively manages Medical Information services demand based on business objectives and data analytics build into web portal digital services
  • Ensures quality of generated medical information resources by selecting and overseeing vendor work
  • Oversees turn-around-time of medical inquiries, and makes process improvements as necessary
  • Provides leadership and other key stakeholders apprised of business relevant data analytics, such as medical inquiry volume, data on common questions, and most importantly business relevant insights obtained via medical information services for each product
  • May have to perform standard Medical Information responsibilities, including, but not limited to:
    • Provide review and editing support for standard and custom response letters created by vendors
    • Support product booths at professional and scientific meetings
    • Review and approve annotations for Commercial or Medical resources
  • Maintains understanding of Lundbeck US products regarding labeling and publications
  • Manages budget and contracting as related to Medical Information activities

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Advanced scientific degree from an accredited university (Pharm.D., Ph.D, MD, etc.)
  • 5+ years of medical information experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry or in an agency supporting the pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare industries. 
  • Deep knowledge of Medical Information Request tracking systems and vendors management
  • Working knowledge of regulatory guidelines
  • Highly developed project management abilities; capable of effectively coordinating multiple tasks while seeing projects to completion

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in developing and continually optimizing digital medical information services
  • Specialty residency training in Drug Information
  • Hospital or academic experience in Drug Information
  • Experience in a Global Medical Affairs role

 

TRAVEL:

Willingness/Ability to travel up to 10% domestically. International travel may be required

 

The range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the states of Colorado and Connecticut, if selected for this role, and may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $130,000 - $160,000 and eligibility for a 15% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan.
