SUMMARY:
The Senior Director Marketing is responsible for the overall performance and management of the Abilify Long-Acting Injectable (LAI) Portfolio of brands. This role will be responsible for the overall Brand Portfolio while developing Brand strategy to ensure performance to objectives for the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the overall brand performance of Abilify LAI Portfolio consisting of Abilify Maintena and Abilify Asimtufii. Incorporates internal and external insights to shape brand strategy. Implements and executes cross-functionally to drive results on brand performance goals.
- Responsible for setting the brand marketing priorities with well articulated tactical plans to maximize return on investment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals and product lifecycle stages (pre-launch, launch, post-launch). Develop a portfolio approach to manage a launch brand as well as maximizing a mature brand.
- Ensure full alignment of Marketing vision and strategy across the organization including BU Head and Executive Leadership team as well as Executive teams at the Alliance partner.
- Translate strategic plans and performance across the organization with cross functional partners and executive leadership to provide clarity of performance and opportunity.
- Proactively manages all aspects of alliance partner relationships, including coordination of strategy and execution plans. Shapes strategic and tactical agenda, identifies team participation and key decisions in governance processes and committees.
- Lead life cycle management planning in coordination with global teams and across Alliance partnership.
- Provides marketing advice and guidance to other U.S. and Global operating teams to ensure overall sales and marketing effectiveness. Ensures marketing strategy, business objectives and priorities are clearly aligned with cross-functional partners.
- Thorough understanding and proactive monitoring of the external market; quickly adapts approach and adjusts objectives to ensure maximum impact.
- Deep understanding of payer landscape and proactively integrates this understanding into marketing strategy.
- Collaborate with sales, medical affairs, regulatory, and market access teams to ensure integrated planning and execution.
- Set priorities and management of Marketing investments while managing marketing budgets and ensure efficient use of resources to identify opportunity and maximize investments across HCP and DTC initiatives.
- Develop and manage comprehensive omni channel marketing campaigns across traditional, digital and emerging platforms to optimize customer learning journeys and deliver business objectives.
Leader in strategic partnerships
- Global: Partners effectively with global commercial and cross-functional leaders to provide strategic guidance for the brand.
- Alliances: Builds trusted relationships with Executive teams across both companies and with key stakeholders and alliance partners to ensure mutually agreeable strategy, objectives, and tactics.
- External Stakeholders: Promotes strong relationships with customers to ensure that key messages reflect positively on the company and our products.
- Key Opinion Leaders: Builds relationships with key opinion leaders.
- U.S. Affiliate: Ensures alignment of marketing with US cross-functional teams and builds consensus around goals and objectives, while managing ambiguity and complexity.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- 12+ years of biopharmaceutical commercial experience, including sales, marketing, or market access
- 8+ years of brand marketing experience, focusing on HCP and/or Consumer marketing
- Proven experience in developing and executing brand strategies that effectively gain market share, including setting objectives, tactics, resourcing, and budgets
- Expertise in operating with a P&L mindset, optimizing tactical plans to maxamize ROI
- Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational, geographic, and hierarchical boundaries, with or without direct authority
- Experience in making decisive decisions, assessing trade-offs, and acting independently when necessary
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical/clinical aspects of product development (pre- and post-launch), including leveraging real-world evidence (RWE) and integrating it with commercial activities
- Successful track record of translating strategic objectives into impactful brand plans based on industry fundamentals, competitor analysis, partnerships, and trends
- Experience leading and managing complex projects and issues across internal and external stakeholder matrices
- Strong background in relationship management, interpersonal communication, and influencing business outcomes to drive growth
- Proven ability to execute flawlessly while inspiring trust and collaboration in team environments
- Demonstrated intellectual capabilities combining creativity, analytical skills, and sound judgment
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- Accredited MBA or Master's Degree
- People management experience
- Effective profit & Loss (P&L) management experience
- Strong understanding of industry manufacturing, supply chain and distribution
- Experience working in a co-commercialization partnership, alliance, and/or joint venture
- Understands how medical and health care systems operate; able to use knowledge to get to second- and third-order insights
- Knowledge of the AMA, ACCME, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities
TRAVEL
- Willingness/Ability to travel up to 30% domestically. International travel is required.
The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $265,000 - $300,000 and eligibility for a 25% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan.
