Category Manager – Meetings & Events

We are looking for a Category Manager – Meetings & Events, responsible for strategy, optimization, and performance across both customer-facing and non-customer-facing events. You’ll lead the strategic direction for the category, embedding best practices and continuously improving how Lundbeck plans and delivers events globally — driving efficiency, innovation, and impact.

If it sounds like you, why don’t you join Lundbeck in Krakow, a certified Great Place to Work in, and get your brain in the game?

Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?

This is a unique opportunity to shape how Lundbeck connects with customers and colleagues through impactful, engaging, and high-quality meetings and events. As Category Manager, you’ll play a key role in defining and optimizing a global category that touches nearly every part of our business — from scientific congresses to internal leadership events. You’ll collaborate across functions and regions, influence strategic decisions, and help modernize how we deliver value, creativity, and efficiency.

It’s a role where curiosity, adaptability, and accountability are key — and where your ideas can directly improve how we engage, collaborate, and bring Lundbeck’s purpose to life.

Your future team

The Corporate Procurement team is a global function comprising over 60 engaged and passionate colleagues located in Copenhagen, Krakow, and Deerfield. Together, we secure a professional and efficient source-to-pay process across the full Lundbeck value chain. We ensure spend transparency, compliance, and effective support through procurement systems and effective cross-functional collaboration. Our culture emphasizes ongoing development, where we learn from each other and external best practices.

What you bring to the team

  • Proven experience in category management, ideally within meetings & events categories in a complex, global organization.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing category strategies that move from transactional sourcing to strategic value creation.
  • Strong business partnering and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage and align senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, able to connect data, insights, and market intelligence to drive sound decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with supplier relationship management (SRM) and performance frameworks, driving innovation, quality, and sustainability outcomes.
  •  A curious and adaptable mindset — eager to explore new ideas and challenge existing approaches.
  • High accountability and proactivity — able to work independently, anticipate needs, and drive outcomes in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fostering trust, alignment, and shared ownership of results.

Our promise to you

Lundbeck offers an inspiring workplace and innovative culture, where our curiosity, accountability and adaptability enable us to transform lives.
