Category Manager - Real Estate
Kraków, Małopolskie, PL
Category Manager – Real Estate
Do you see opportunity where others see complexity? We are looking for a Category Manager who can take ownership of our global Real Estate procurement portfolio and turn data, market insight and strong partnerships into measurable value.
Your new role
As Category Manager for Real Estate, you will be the Procurement entry point for Real Estate needs across Lundbeck. You will manage the Real Estate procurement portfolio end to end, from category strategy and pipeline planning to sourcing, negotiation, contracting and supplier management. You will work closely with Real Estate & Facilities, Finance, Legal and stakeholders across our global organisation. The role also provides the opportunity to contribute to selected sourcing and category initiatives across other Indirect Procurement areas, depending on priorities and business needs.
Your future team
You will join Lundbeck's Corporate Procurement team, a global function with colleagues across Copenhagen, Krakow and Chicago. We foster a culture built on curiosity, adaptability and accountability, encouraging colleagues to challenge the status quo, learn continuously and take ownership of their impact.
The position is based in Krakow, Poland.
What you will do
- Develop and manage the Real Estate category strategy and procurement pipeline.
- Maintain transparency across the Real Estate portfolio, including leases, key dates, upcoming renewals, projects and sourcing opportunities.
- Act as the Procurement entry point for new Real Estate needs and work with stakeholders to define the right sourcing approach.
- Lead sourcing processes, negotiations and contracting in collaboration with internal stakeholders and Legal.
- Manage brokers and other Real Estate partners, including scope, fees, performance and supplier governance.
- Use data, market insight and benchmarking to identify opportunities and support fact-based decisions.
- Ensure strong procurement discipline, documentation, value tracking and use of Procurement processes and tools.
- Contribute to sourcing and category initiatives across other Indirect Procurement areas as business priorities evolve.
What you bring to the team
- Experience in category management, strategic sourcing or indirect procurement, ideally within Real Estate, Facility Management or related categories.
- Strong sourcing and negotiation skills, with the ability to take initiatives from initial need through contracting and implementation.
- A hands-on execution mindset: you take ownership, move things forward and follow through.
- Self-driven and comfortable working independently in areas where the structure or answer is not always predefined.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to create structure and make decisions based on data, market insight and sometimes imperfect information.
- Able to navigate different stakeholders, challenge constructively and build trusted relationships across functions and geographies.
- Adaptable and comfortable working across categories and priorities in a dynamic global environment.
