The purpose of the role 
Process Excellence Senior Specialist is responsible for identifying optimization opportunities and delivering process improvements across organization by implementing process improvement/lean manufacturing methodologies, process performance management, innovative thinking & customer-centric approach. The person should be able to build and sustain effective CI culture within the organization focused on elimination of waste and unnecessary complexity within HR, S2P, IT & Operational Finance Processes. Process Excellence Senior Specialist should be a trusted business partner for Global Process Owners & Process Directors in re-design and re-engineering their processes.


Meet the team

Process Excellence & Transformation team focuses on delivering system and process transformation projects to support Lundbeck in executing the long term strategy. Process Excellence Senior Specialist will very closely collaborate with Process Ownership Office and Data Analytics Office to synergize on accelerating the successful process transformation.


What is the challenge?

  • Identifying optimization opportunities and delivering process improvements across organization by implementing process improvement/lean manufacturing methodologies, innovative thinking & customer-centric approach
  • Building and sustaining effective CI culture within the organization focused on elimination of waste and unnecessary complexity within HR, S2P, IT & Operational Finance Processes
  • Leading Key Improvement Projects / Initiatives
  • Establishing a data driven approach to continuous improvement utilizing impactful measures and dashboarding that inform ongoing operational efficiency gains
  • Developing and driving Process Performance Management agenda
  • Business partnering to Process Managers and Global Process Owners, co-operating on process re-design and re-engineering
  • Coaching GBS Employees, owning & delivering CI training agenda
  • Delivering root cause analysis for cross functional escalations/issues


To be successful in this role, your experience should include


Professional experience & knowledge

  • Proven records of developing and implementing Continuous Improvement agenda in organization
  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, PPM, automation and digitization
  • Business partnering experience
  • Highly developed skills in delivering trainings and coaching
  • English at C1


Education, certificates

  • Higher university degree   
  • Lean, Six Sigma on Black Belt level or adequate

  • Self-starter – performing assigned tasks without close supervision, identifies pro-actively areas for action
  • Dealing well with ambiguity & uncertainty and finds it easy to work in a very dynamic environment
  • Can add structure where structure in missing but is also flexible in approach
  • Ability to see the bigger picture as well as the depth of a situation 
  • Knowing how to deep dive into the data and bring up a comprehensive picture
  • Ability to convince and challenge the status quo
  • Being curious and would like to understand how the things work
  • Being structured in approach to analysis, ability to to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements
  • Being flexible in taking risk of correctness of the data versus the speed of analysis
  • Personality and leadership style to inspire, motivate and support teams who are not your direct reports
