The main purpose of the role is to strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational strategy. Program Manager would be responsible for overseeing multiple projects teams, ensuring program goals are reached, projects meets organization standards (satisfaction, quality & performance) and maximizing return on investment. Additionally Program Manager will work closely with Lead Data analyst on reporting project performance and be responsible for key stakeholder management in collaboration with Process Excellence & Transformation Senior Manager & Communication Manager. In his/her role Program Manager should also develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement, act as a people manager for Project Managers and identify/develop talents within GBS Krakow to participate in strategic projects/join PMO.

Process Excellence & Transformation team focuses on delivering system and process transformation projects to support Lundbeck in executing the long term strategy. 

 

Why is this role important to us?

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS 

  • Co-create project portfolio based on organizational strategy, define implementation strategy for agreed project portfolio
  • Manage the team of Project Managers/Senior Project Managers: recruitment, performance, motivation and personal development, planning and organization of work including managing daily workload
  • Co-create Lundbeck PM development program, identify top talents within GBS Krakow to participate in strategic projects/join PMO
  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders
  • Define portfolio performance management; track, reviews and controls programme/ project progress and performance at clearly defined points ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget; anticipating potential risks and issues, assisting with putting mitigating actions into place to prevent delivery stalling and escalating as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance to agreed Lundbeck’s PM standards
  • Actively engage in program/project resource management; assists new team members to understand the project context and content, the importance of stakeholder management and wider project goals

 

What you bring to the team

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Three or more years of experience in an upper-management role, preferably in program management
  • Outstanding knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
  • At least 5 years of experience in programme/project management role on complex projects across countries or regions
  • Understanding of the Programme and Project lifecycle; including working knowledge of Project Management methodologies, PMO processes and best practice techniques
  • Experience in leading PMO unit would be an asset
  • PMP or MSP training or certification is an advantage
  • Improvement Methodology (Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage
  • English at C1

 

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES

  • Higher university degree 
  • Certification in PMP, Prince 2 or equivalent

  • Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, and organization
  • Experience in managing stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self starter, ability to work independently and proactively
  • Dealing with ambiguity & uncertainty  
  • Finding it easy to work in a very dynamic environment  
  • Ability to add structure where structure in missing but also flexible in approach
